I've only read the Da Vinci code, myself. I didn't really enjoy it that much especially since it's been proven to mostly be bullshit. However, it did make more people think that there's more to Jesus than what is told in the Bible.
I've read Digital Fortress (liked it quite a lot) and started reading Deception point right after and it was blaaah, same story all over again. Finally managed to finish it then, couple months later.
As for other two books, I just waited for movies ;p Will see about The lost symbol, will wait for translation and then maybe read it.
Damn you amnith! Start reading Digital Fortress ASAP! You're gonna like it!

I can't see the one thing having to do anything with the other. If it was meant to be realistic it would have been called "historical novel"...
I only read Da Vinci Code, Digital Fortress and Angels&Daemons. And I liked all of them very much but I have to say they are actually all the same story, but I'm still looking forward to "the next episode"

Apparently you're unaware of the material which is contained within the book. Dan Brown wrote a story around the information told in "Holy Blood, Holy Grail" and other books by the people who actually believe that stuff when there's no proof of it; on some issues significant proof exists to disprove it, even.
I'm personally unsure if Mr. Brown believes it himself, but what it did was make many people realize -- especially hardline Christians -- that the Bible really doesn't tell the entire story or even perhaps a truthful story of Jesus. The fact that the Gospels all contradict each other is significant proof of that.
Indeed, Da Vinci Code is just a story, but it is most people's first and only information on those theories.
I haven't *read* the Da Vinci code, only watched the movie. Angels & Demons I read and I fully enjoyed. The movie adaptation was quite good too, but it lacked some aspects from the book.
Riddles equals win. Even though it's just imagination (or even others' theories), I really like the whole idea and concept. Take reality, twist it around some history holes, and voilá -- you've caught my attention.
The original da vinci texts are part of the 'age of reason' theory, and leonardo da vinci was a free thinker, he was the 1st one to question the biblical account of the flood, genesis, etc...

Apart from that, I just purchased his "Digital Fortress". Looking forward to reading it when time allows for it.
