Good game, bit samey. You can see what Rockstar were aiming for and when they hit it it's perfect. The problem is that there's a lot of fluff in between the great moments. Cole (main character) is nowhere near as likeable as Nico from GTA IV.
Length is around 2 seasons of a tv-show apparently. There are 21 cases, each taking 1-2 hours to solve. I assume later cases are harder than the starting ones. Love the game, though, and the USD $100 is not really the price, it's 500 NOK as the dollar is so cheap these days..
Bought it today and been playing it since this afternoon. Girlfriend is way more into it than I am and her female intuition is incredible. On mission 4 now and we got close to 100% on all interrogations. Best game I've played for a long time. It's like watching a really good crime show, just way more interactive.
I can recommend this game highly. Go get it if you like a good crime!
I love this game, I think I'm on case 9 or 10 (with a '1-star' ranking on the last case I finished, but you can't expect a '5-star' ranking with over $50000 total damage done with your car and arresting the wrong guy ...)
Finished it on Monday, but still mopping up some of the less stellar performances on a few cases. Yeah, it's really good, but can't compete with Red Dead Redemption when it comes to Rockstar games. I should probably play Heavy Rain now, bought it and haven't played it yet.
It's a really good game. I've been holding off getting the game because I'm busy. I tend to buy one game at a time so I get more bang for my buck. I've played it a bit and am looking forward to getting the game for myself. They did an excellent job on the recreation of late 40's Los Angeles. It's cool seeing these period games.

But 500 NOK is about $93. That's the price. It's more or less equal in the UK and the Eurozone to the American price (if you add sales tax to the American price). Oleg rants all the time about the price of games up there. I'd just say forget it if I had to pay almost $100 for a game. I have a hard time forking over $60 for one here as most games simply aren't worth even that price.
