IRC discovery

I was hanging out in IRC, and Ramunas shared this great video with me.
It was so good that I decided to put it on my blog.
I think it's esthetically beautiful. I like the colors in particular, but also the story told. The bullet-time effects are pretty cool also. Pretty descent for a commercial, even though it's for the XBOX system (don't kill me now ...).

Ramunas, I could just download it. But it would still not run without the plugin. Now the way it is embeded, you will get a notification about missing plug-in or running a ActiveX controll.
Where is that

I got stuck doing some CSS tweaks to my blog as well ... Time flies by when you're having fun!

Actually, we're looking for a skilled Web designer.

(I just don't have the plugin, actually... or quicktime for that matter. VLC ftw!)

I managed to play it in VLC with the link that Ramunas shared.
Anyway. Great video.

Either you (or I)
suckare doing something wrong.By the way, this blog post has taken a nasty off-topic turn. What was meant to be a nice discussion surrounding the physics of Parkour (and commercials in general) has turned into a "Espen don't know
wtfwhat he's doing when embedding objects".We learn as we live, or we live as we learn, or something like that.

The problem is caused by the fact that the source movie is using quicktime, and not every Linux user know how to make their system play quicktime movies, and maybe even less, how to play them in Opera.
The fact that I know what I want, and my choices aren't always mainstream, usually proves very rewarding, but not everytime.
So instead of complaining about me being an Ubuntu + Opera user with slime for brain instead of what normal people has, I think I'll steer the conversation in the correct direction.
I feel like that video captures the spirit of parkout in a fantastic way. Parkour is a "sport" that can reward anyone, even though it may look impossible. This also makes it very entertaining to spectators.
I wish I could go some place and do parkour. But because it's unusual some places, it can be awkward too. I guess I would need to get my friends interested in it first then. I know my brother already is.

Anyway, thanks for the feedback. I know Linux users are struggling with plugins, and I try (as often as possible) to stay away from Windows required plugins (hate them).
And yes, it was a good thing Ramunas shared the direct link, because the video is really nice and worth a download.

As I told one of your colleagues the other day, I could not draw a stick figure if my life depended on it
Back to the topic. I guess Top Gear on BBC is well known in at least most countries in Europe. They have used masters in Parkour at least a couple of times to "compete" with cars. Though the comparison is a bit on the edge, they sure spice up the show quite a bit while showing of medium exiting cars
PS: This time not embedded at all, for all of yours convenience

I used to watch that show from time to time, but it hurts all the way down to my pinky toe when I see Richard Hammond.
