Opera , - My new desktop application

Dear all.
I started to use Opera quite a few years ago, in the start not that much but slowly increasing.
Today, I do see that I use the Opera browser more and more, and I even start to look on it as my new desktop.
So here a question to the real Opera experts.
Why don't you turn Opera into my new desktop application, allowing me to launch some (my) key windows programs from my Browser?
If you connected the browser with an ASP kind of service, you even might to be able to bundle inn applications like text editing tools etc.
Any comments to such a idea?
