Some people think the high sales of products reflect the power of advertising instead of the customers’ demand. To what extent do you agree.
In present-day society, it is generally recognised that advertisments are playing increasingly crucial roles in our lives. However, in the meanwhile, whether the power of advertising or the customers' demand contributes the most to sales consititutes a controversial issue. Some individuals asset that impressive advertisments give the public an incentive to consume. While the others argue that constomers’ demand determine the sales quantity. From my own perspective, I am in favor of the former view.
Convincing argument can be made that advertising is the most significant factor that helps achieve ambitious sales target. In the first place, an effective advertisment would help company to succeed in the fierce competition. To be more specific, there are a great many brands in the market, an advertisment which is full of fun and happiness would definitely catch consumers’ eyes so that they could remember the certain product and next time when they go into the supermarket, they are willing to choose the product which have impressed them by the lively advertising. In the second place, a gorgeous advertising campaign could certainly boost the sales because it makes people interested in the product. More precisely, an advertising campaign would give consumers an additional understanding towards the product so that they would become more confident in choosing it.
Admittedly, customers’ demand is an essential for consuming. This is due to the fact that usually people would buy the goods which they need. Nevertheless, a good advertisment could give people an extra incentive to own the product because advertising gives them a reason to buy and enjoy.
To conclude, I would concede that customers’ demand is indispensable during the process of consuming. Despite that, advertising could enhance customers’ confidence and make them eager to buy the product. Overall, I am convinced that a gorgeous advertising could absolutely contribute to the improvement of sales.
