Gah! I'm so behind!

, ,

Wow, I totally missed Christmas and New Years. Sorry guys!

I had a lot of exams and whatnot to study for, so I didn't have much time to blog.

Well I hope you guys had a happy holiday and a good New Year.

I just got done taking the last of my exams today. Man it was brutal. I think I did pretty good on all of them except English. I somehow managed to get a 82% B on it. On the otherhand, I managed to pull off a 110% A on my Japanese midterm.

The funny thing is, all of my exams I could study for except for the English exam. Instead, they decided to throw 7 stories at us and make us answer some pathetic questions. Sounds easy, but when you have the writers of the FCAT (Florida's statewide comprehensive assessment test), it's pretty dumb.

Then when I came home, my brother ravaged the refridgerator and left nothing for me. :frown:

Anyways, I'm on a 4 day break now. I intend to have a lot of fun and relaxation!

I guess that's it.

BPA Regional Competition, and more BPA stuff...

, , , ...

I'm part of Business Professionals of America, and today we had to do our Regional Judged Competative events. Remember when I had to learn Flash? Well, I don't think I blogged it, but I spent countless hours making a promotional video thing, like small short commercial.

Anywho, today was the day I had to present. We headed down to Nova Univiersity, which is near the Mall at Millenia.

So I was the last one to be called, as they really didn't expect much to compete in Digital Media. I was fortunate to have only one competitor. He told me how he came about making it, using Mac's default movie maker. I felt like I had a good chance of winning.

Unfortunately, when I came up to the judges, my speakers weren't working, and I had to fix the connections and whatnot. It totally spoiled what I had presented. As the judges watched my video, they didn't smile or say "oh wow", but they just thought it was another random work from another random kid. At least, I assumed they did, as they never even told me anything. No compliments, nothing.

So after the competition, I revisted one of the judges. He said my work was pretty great, but a lot of flaws were found, as he's pretty veteran at this himself. He told me I had a bit of things out of order, how I should have been a little more specific, and how I should work on it a bit more. He did complement my masking of the music loop (or repetitive 10 second song which restarts over and over), and he also said I didn't appear nervous, when in reality, I almost died from my nervousness. :frown:

Well, after that disaster, we headed down to the Mall at Millenia. Unfotunately, they didn't have a Japanese restaurant, so I just went to the generic Chic Fil A. Then after that, I made rounds around the mall, going to FYE, GameStop, Waldenbooks, SonyStyle, and all that other stuff.

Well, that's pretty much today in a nutshell. I got to go to sleep now so that I can wake up for tomorrow's event, which is a carwash. Ah jeeze.

Well, Goodnight guys.
おやすみなさい~!
