In search of the sunrise

In search of the sunrise
Walking to the bus stop in the morning, smiling the soul of the sea, while the birds announcing the start of a new day , buying something to eat , waiting in the street and looking around watching people running to go to their jobs, sleeping in the bus for like half hour, entering the office , drinking tea, checking mails, reading alghad newspaper , dancing with yellow pages , calling customers, walking inside the warehouse , using a few words in Turkish, laughing, asking, answering and smoking , looking to the amazing view in the mountains while on the top its covered with snow, going down to see the green ground which its inspiring the humans souls , going back to the house , walking again , more busy people , more busy silence thinking in the mind trying to understand everything around , eating Turkish food , finally going back to the house, relaxing and sleeping .

More than 4 months in turkey, the challenges on track , non stop, passing one after the other , with open shining eyes looking forward to the future , looking to feed my soul with what it need , never forget the vision .

OK! I will tell you , to leave your country , your family , your mother coffee , your father, brother and sisters , to be far away from your friends when u have to share them their happiness moment ,to leave the ground where help you to walk forward to achieve your goals, to leave the sky where you pointed your dreams in it, to leave all what u have and to go to some where you have nothing in it, start to play the puzzle again , arranging your stuff your network your strategies , all of those things its not easy , but if it is not hard , why I am here ? I know this experience will never come again.

After coming back from Jordan before one and a half month, after my first business trip to Lebanon, which it was really a great experience about how to deal with customers, I changed my house , to live with my Turkish brother "Alkan" , sharing our secrets, talking about what's going on in Gaza , also hitchhiking to the most beautiful sea side I ever see " Foça" with my lovely trainees ( dima , Ty and Annie) , also for the first time to watch the first football match live in Ataturk stadium with my friend safa .

More than 4 months , with every raindrop , with every second I spend it with myself alone , with all the mixed emotions , all the people they care and ask , all the people they ignore or don’t care, with every call on my mobile , every single moment I spend it in turkey , I do believe that I built a solid network in turkey that they are people you can trust them , those people which called "friends for life time "

Still searching for more, searching will never end , searching for the sky , searching to be a change agent , searching to be over skilled, searching for respect and in the end In search of the sunrise !

26 Day's in Turkey

Friday, 24'th October 2008 , i decide to write my first Blog or Note about my internship here in Turkey , i will write some information's about this internship firstly ,
i am working in TIRYAKILER GROUP OF COMPANIES , in the sales Dept. responsible for the Middle East and North Africa region , i will work here for a year , i got this internship through AIESEC .

LAST DAY IN JORDAN :
OK ! now lets start from the last day in Jordan before going to Turkey ,
the situation was like this ,, I prepare everything in the morning , and i was surprised that i have around 4 bag's ! with more than 40 Kg's !
after the iftar , my uncle come to visit our place , and while he is in our home , all my friends calling me to have my last hang out with them , its really amazing when u r in this situation when u feel that everyone taking care of you because all of them are waiting to see you and say GOOD BYE ! we went to a cafe and there were more than 20 of my best friends having Argeleh

@ 12 PM we left the cafe to my home to take me bags and to say Good Bye to my family, i never felt a warm hug from my mother than this one ,, !
after that we went to the airport ,,, 2 car's ( Omar sharawi , ME , my brother Abdallah , Alaa' Abu gharbiyeh , Ahmad Awwad in Omar's car , Wesam Manal , Fadi Sharawi ,Amjad Sharawi, Ibrahim Zananiri ) saying goodbye ,,, and turn my back away to the boarding but my soul still with my family and my friend's.

i was afriad from my bags because i am sure they are more than 30 Kg's ,,, but my Huge Network works this time smile because i found one of my school friends working in the boarding and i told him that i have 42 Kg's ! he told me no problem and i didn't pay anything for my bags bigsmile

FIRST DAY IN TURKEY :

after 2 hours , arrived to Istanbul Airport finished my visa and taking my bags, Turkish SIM card to call the girl (merve) who will pick me up from Taksim , but ! her mobile turn off ! i tried to call another ppl in Istanbul ,, without any answer , i called my MCP Lana to tell here the situation ,, and i also called Daniel's Friend in Istanbul(Anastasia), she was sleeping ! and i told her my story and she told me come to Taksim i will wait for you in the bus stop , after that Lana called me back and told me that Merve send in the night an e-mail told you that she have another mobile number and she is waiting for you ,, ! anyway ,, i arrived to the bus station in Taksim waiting for 10 Min's ,, Anastasia and Merve came and we went to Anastasia Place ,,
tell that time i felt myself like a tourist , after i arrived to that place , i took a shower and i slept for 2 hours , after that we want to taksim Str, to walk there .

and i spent 4 days in Istanbul but really i had a lot of fun there while spending time having argeleh and walking on the sea side or going from the European part to the Asian part through the sea ,, and a booked a bus ticket to Izmir where i will stay there.

HEADING TO IZMIR :
the bus was really amazing ,, can u believe there was WiFi all their way from Istanbul to Izmir through 3G ,, the funny thing while i was in the bus the bus stopped and i take a look through the window ,,, the road is end and we are in the sea side !! whats happening !? after 5 Min's the bus going on a big thing in the Sea !! now i am in the sea inside my bus !!! and the ppl start leave the bus,,, and there is NO one who can speak English around me so i felt like i am really stupid ! but i left the bus and i start asking the ppl ,,if there anyone can speak English ,, Finlay i found a guy who told me that we are crossing the sea to the other side its faster,,,, it took around 15 Min's ,, and after that i get back to my bus ,,
the way to Izmir take 9 hours , i arrived @ 7 am to the bus satiation , i sent a MSG to the guy who supposed to pick me up ... and he told me that he is coming , but it was raining ,, i never see rain as much as this time ,, the sky was crazy ,,! non-stop raining for like 30 Min's and i am still waiting ,, ! the guy came after 2 hours waiting in the bus station and we start our travel to my place and we got lost and we take a taxi ,,! something unusual to take taxi in Turkey because u have to pay 10 times more than the bus's !
Finlay i am in my home ,,, in the 8'th Floor ,,, knocking the door BUT no one answer ! we called the owner and he told us he will come after 30 Min's ,, waiting waiting waiting ,, 10 Min's AND a Japanese guy open the door ,, ! his name is Hiro !
the home was really great .. 2 big balcony's and 3 rooms .
and i spent 2 days with AIESECers .

MY FIRST WORK DAY IN MY COMPANY :
Also in the 6'th of October i started my first work day ,,, Samim a guy from AIESEC Izmir pick me up to go there ,, it was a shock for me when i recognize that my work not in Izmir ,,, it in another city next to Izmir called Manisa( 45 Min's far from Izmir ) !!!! YEES not in Izmir ,, it's like one hour far from Izmir,, and it take around 2 hours to reach the industry area there coz we was searching all the time for the company !
when we arrived we enter the security office and wait there for like one hour to allow us to enter the company ,,, but i was really surprised because its a huge company and a great organization culture there ,, all of them are friends and working with a good mood ,,
in that first day they gave my catalogue for their products and information's about the company ,, at the end of the day they told me that i have to be ready at 6:10 AM on the street waiting the company bus !!! yes ,, so i have to wake up at 5:30 AM sad ,,, i am the first one in the morning and the LAST in the way back !!!! sad also i never do it ( wake up at 5:30 Am ) in my country ! so i wake up at 5:30 and come back to my place at around 8 PM !! eating dinner and HEADING to my bed !
here in the company everything is great ! and i am really lucky to be in this company , after one week in the office , i started my orientation in the factory which its 10 Min's far from the company ,, i cant imagine how organise they are , i never been in such culture !

SOME ACTIVITIES IN IZMIR:
last weekend AIESEC Izmir invited me to the induction seminar in a huge hall there were more than 600 ppl only new members ! and they ask me to talk with them about my AIESEC experience ,, and it was amazing to talk with 600 ppl !
2 days ago my house mate Hiro ,,left the house going back to Tokyo , now i am living with my other Japanese friend his name is Taro ,,
i think that's all for now,, for sure i will keep u all updated about whats happening in my INTERNSHIP IN TURKEY !
