Good old Clint Eastwood...haven't seen one of his movies in a long time. Have no idea what they were saying and can't remember of the names of the two other actors.

FIFINELEB 10. August 2009, 14:45

Right,Pam. Clint Eastwood is one of my favourite actors too. Van Cleef is the one in black. He is a good actor as well. I am sorry the words are in Spanish but I promise next post is in English. Didn't you learn a bit of Spanish at school? Here in Belgium we learn three foreign languages in colleges. How are you doing? How are your dear pets doing? Have a very nice week and lots of thanks for your kind comment.

PainterWoman 10. August 2009, 15:00

I did take one required semester of Spanish fifteen years ago but remember very little. No need to be sorry.

My pets are fine. Camie, my Keeshonde, is slowly getting used to going blind with lots of coaxing by me. CJ, my min pin, seems to be oblivious to this and gets jealous of the extra attention I give Camie.

Did you see Eastwood in Gran Torino? Very, very good movie with a message.

FIFINELEB 10. August 2009, 17:14

No,I haven't seen it yet except the ad that was promising. That gang stuff seems terrifying .
Is it due to the age for Camie? Dogs usually are jealous like kids, aren't they? Have a nice Monday,Pam.

PainterWoman 10. August 2009, 17:52

Yes, it's due to her age. She is 12. The other one is 10 but still acts much younger and runs around a lot but she is beginning to lose a few teeth. I tried the brushing of their teeth with a beef flavor toothpaste :yuck: but they would have nothing to do with it. And they are too old for a teeth cleaning by the vet. Probably should have had that done five years ago.

You have a nice Monday too Jean.

FIFINELEB 10. August 2009, 19:05

I had the same prob with my little Yorkie. I tried a few things but they just didn't work: special cleaning bones, apples... She had her teeth cleaned once but the effects didn't last long. She lost a few of them but it did not disturb her appetite. Unfortunately she got a tumor in the teats and I didn't want her to suffer. She was 12. She rests in the park.
I wish you good night,Pam. It is late here.

daxonmacs 13. August 2009, 18:44

Djeez, Lee van Cleef and Eastwood on the same screen! That must be an old movie
What's the English title of this flick, anyway? A fistful of dollars?
By the way, Jean,is your culture French? I mean, are you French by birth?

Have a nice day.

FIFINELEB 13. August 2009, 21:02

"FOR A FEW DOLLARS MORE" (by Sergio Leone) is the original title,Danny.Nothing like oldies sometimes. Haha. That's it: I am French-speaking by birth. I wish you a glorious week. Thanks a lot for dropping in.

daxonmacs 14. August 2009, 00:03

Hehe, I agree Jean. They don't make movies like those anymore. Have a great day and a fine weekend, too. Thanks for your visit and comment, in German on less!

Cale 15. August 2009, 17:32

Suerte.

FIFINELEB 15. August 2009, 18:58

No,Paul. Todo está bien por el momento. Gracias a Dios.
Te agradezco tu amabilidad . Que tengas una semana hermosa.

Capitán Morgan 20. August 2009, 11:03

Hola Jean!

Estoy bien.

Tyler Parke Young 20. August 2009, 15:25

I remember that movie. The man in the black hat is "Angel Eyes".

FIFINELEB 20. August 2009, 15:46

Right,Cap. One of the greatest movie villains. No doubt about that.

Tyler Parke Young 20. August 2009, 15:53

Did you know that Fonda only played one bad guy in his whole career. "Once Upon A Time In The West", is the only time. He did it very well too. I have a copy of that movie on disc.

FIFINELEB 20. August 2009, 15:59

Yes,he is a good actor and Jane too.

Tyler Parke Young 20. August 2009, 16:02

Lee Van Cleef made a whole career out of Angel Eyes.

FIFINELEB 20. August 2009, 16:16

Yes indeed, the routes of destiny are obscure most of the time but we must face our kharma

Tyler Parke Young 20. August 2009, 16:24

My tomatos are in good shape. How are yours? We had a wind storm last night and part of a neighbors house landed in our yard. Two pieces of aluminium soffet, which we made certain did not come off our building.

FIFINELEB 20. August 2009, 18:36

My tomatoes are doing well so far. A stormy weather is scheduled for tonight. I have tied up all that can be blown away. Let's hope for the best. My grapes are promising too. I hope the upgrading of your old P.C. went smoothly.

Tyler Parke Young 20. August 2009, 20:38

It was one of my uncle's. I won't know how much it has been improved until next week.

FIFINELEB 21. August 2009, 09:43

I prefer to use the LINUX system: UBUNTU 9.04 because everything is done automatically through Internet. (upgrading+antivirus+firewall+25000 freewares of quality at disposal such as Gimp or OpenOffice to write, draw, see photos and diaporamas...) The CD is sent for free! Never tried?

daxonmacs 21. August 2009, 11:18

One thing I miss from the days I had a pc, is the tinkering with Linux.
I did try Ubuntu in the end, but got started with Yoper Linux.
It was one of the first to implement the Con Kolivas kernel patch, making it faster and more responsive.
As I remember it, you get ten cd's sent home, for free.

Tyler Parke Young 21. August 2009, 14:07

Shoot. You just went over my head!@:faint:

daxonmacs 21. August 2009, 15:34

Oh no, I just mentioned the name of the programmer. It was quite the fuzz in the day. He has now stopped working on the kernel patches, which was a hobby of his, and is full time anaesthetist in a hospital in Melbourne.
Here is an interview with him, if you're interested.

Tyler Parke Young 21. August 2009, 15:40

I live with an IT guy (my uncle), and it hasn't rubbed off much.

daxonmacs 21. August 2009, 15:45

You got to shake him each morning and each evening :D

Tyler Parke Young 21. August 2009, 17:14

He has decided that he wants me to move out so I don't talk to him that much anymore.

FIFINELEB 21. August 2009, 20:14

But you have his old computer upgraded ,don't you? You're a jolly good fellow,Cap.

Hi,Danny! The power to Linux! Everything should be free in this world.

Kind regards to both of you.

Tyler Parke Young 21. August 2009, 20:15

I have my own laptop which will go with me. I took one of his machines in to get overhauled the other day.

Latona 21. August 2009, 23:51

Saludos. Buen fin de semana.

Tyler Parke Young 22. August 2009, 16:27

Buenas Dias! I may get published yet. I have been contacted by a book publisher.:coffee:

FIFINELEB 22. August 2009, 21:03

That's good news,Cap. Buenos días!

Tyler Parke Young 22. August 2009, 21:43

I sent them the manuscript by Email today. I hope that they like it.

FIFINELEB 23. August 2009, 10:01

I hope so too. In a crisis time we all need some kind of evading every day routine. Why not sci-fi stories?

Tyler Parke Young 23. August 2009, 12:27

I spent yesterday evening doing editing chores on Zebra 9. There is a lot more than is actually posted on my website. I still don't have an ending.:coffee:

FIFINELEB 23. August 2009, 13:12

A message of hope for humanity perhaps? (like in the War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells The virus A H1 N1 destroying the brains of the spiders.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_War_of_the_Worlds

Tyler Parke Young 23. August 2009, 13:17

I don't know. Redemption for Tex VanHatten maybe. As for Humanity? They are on their own.

I suggest to you that MauMau is not evil. The spiders are alien to humans. The humans are the iterlopers here. MauMau sees them as a threat to his way of life and doesn't understand why The Elder let them on the planet in the first place.

FIFINELEB 23. August 2009, 13:23

Same theme as in the War of the Worlds,Cap.

Tyler Parke Young 23. August 2009, 13:24

I see that. Just with the shoe on the other foot.

daxonmacs 23. August 2009, 13:26

If you make it a dream, you can make it twice the size, make sure you get paid by the page
ANyway, best of luck, I hope you get published.

Tyler Parke Young 23. August 2009, 13:31

I would get 19% of the book price. Hopefully enough to get me out of here.

daxonmacs 23. August 2009, 13:39

That sounds like a good deal to me. Make sure to save some for IRS, they aren't on your friends list

Tyler Parke Young 23. August 2009, 13:57

I am not on their "good list" either. If I land this deal, I will have to pay those back taxes. They have a lien on me.:knight:

daxonmacs 23. August 2009, 14:05

Com'on Brethren in arms, join the battle :knight: wine

Tyler Parke Young 23. August 2009, 14:07

I am with you! Death before taxation!:knight:
