EDM is the beat of my heart.

Tunes of the week - 03

P.S.
It seems that I won't be able to complete this post in the near future. Sorry guys, I'll make a HUGE post full of song that I like. ゴメンね。今、俺はちょっと忙し。

Tunes of the week - 02

WARNING The links posted here are for the same videos as the ones in here so clicking and watching the video from here or from the link is the same.WARNING
Soooooooo this week's tunes are... da dadadadadadadad DAM!

Chakra - Love Shines Through
Here is the link to watch it on Youtube: Chakra - Love Shines Through

And also direct youtube video stream:

This song is a real classic and as described in the video it really brings backs memories. I used this song in my first set I made for public distribution 3 years ago and this is the first thing that come to my mind now. With the first drum line you can hear a real classic Trance drum sound that is saying "That's how it used to sound like". The first breakdown brings out the amazing voice of the singer with a perfectly written and really meaningful lyrics. With the slow build up the classic trancey bass line just blows you away with a nice ambient synthesizer. A true trance classic that everyone must hear (if you haven't yet) I hope you like it.

Rank 1 - Airwave
Here is a link for the Rank 1 - Airwave: Rank 1 - Airwave

And a direct video stream:

Here is another link but with the official music video of a vocal release called "Breathing": Rank 1 - Breathing (Airwave)
And a direct video stream:

I think this post is going to be more "Classic Trance" :D. This song is hard to review cause for me it is very emotional, an amazing track but I'll try. The song has a very interesting drum line with more traditional drum sound than a electronic. The first break down emphasizes on the synthesizer which is slowly going down and then... BANG the main melody builds up slowly, as if it is conveying some kind of a message. After the build up it continues to tell it's own storey. One of my all times favourite.
About the vocal release, the lyrics are perfectly matching the mood of the song.

Rank 1 - L.E.D There Be Light
Here is a link: Rank 1 - L.E.D There Be Light

And also the direct stream:

Being a "Trance Energy" Anthem tells a lot. It's my this week favourite. I don't want to review it cause I want you to hear it. It is a really amazing song by Rank 1.

While we're on the "Trance Energy" topic here is a link and a video stream of the 2007 anthem  Enjoy

Joop - The Future

I hope you like these songs and if you want you can leave a comment with your impression of the songs, I have unlocked the "anonymous" comment option. Listen and ENJOY!

P.S. - I made some changes to my blog, not only visually but also the content :D I deleted 50% of the posts, which sucked :D.
P.S. 2 - Back on the Trance Energy topic again, here is a video with a history of the official anthems from 2004 till 2008:

Tunes of the week - 01

, , , ...

I'll try to do like a list of EDM tracks I like so please check out every week for some new or old songs I recommend. 始めましょ

Let's start this with some ATB :D

ATB - What About Us
And here is a link to hear and watch on YouTube: ATB - What About Us (Official Video)

This track is the second track from his new album Future Memories. The first time I heard it I was amazed with the great fusion of his "trademarked" trancey melodies with a great Drum'n'Bass rhythm. Although the D'n'B rhythm the bass line of the song is untouched and has this classic trance sound. Just hear it and I hope you like it.

Second is...

Orjan Nilsen - La Guitarra
Here is the link to hear it on Youtube: Orjan Nilsen - La Guitarra (Original)

Amazing track with a very sad history. First the sad part, Orjan made the song and dedicated it to his brother. Why would he dedicate a song to him? Because his brother had cancer and after his death he made it especially for him. Now about the song. The song starts with a traditional progressive house drum line and bass line, but after the first breakdown it transforms into a progressive trance song. I think the new name of progressive house and trance was just "Progressive" now, but I'm from the old generation of trance lovers and they are still not the same although those two sub genres are slowly fusing(from my observation).

Third is going to be a list of songs(with links) that are currently stuck in my head.

1.See the songs above :D
2. Armin van Buuren - Rain (feat. Cathy Burton)
3. Armin van Buuren - Hold On To Me (feat. Audrey Gallagher)
4. Armin van Buuren - Fine Without You (feat. Jennifer Rene)

Thank you for reading and I hope you like the songs. Please leave a comment with your opinion.

My dream came true and it FUC*IN' ROCKS!

Hello there dear readers, It's a me Mari... Martin :D.

Wow I, yet again, did not wrote anything for weeks.

First about me (I wanna "show off" from time to time you know :D ).
I've transferred my status from "bedroom" DJ to a DJ. I've been DJing in front of public for several weeks now and, gosh darn it it is fucking amazing. I can't describe this feeling cause I've never experienced such, but for me it's something truly amazing. My first gig (in my whole life) in front of public was for 2 hours and I got to meet one really popular local DJ. My second gig was for 8 hours straight and the whole adrenalin could have kept me running for another 8 hours. On that night another famous local DJ heard how I "play" and later I got an invitation for one of the biggest parties in the prefecture (The Ferry Port Party) as the first foreigner to e invited as a DJ, and that made me so fucking happy and I just can't wait for the party which is in several weeks. Briefly this is how I got back into DJing and also I'm working on something but it's a "secret" :D
Last but not least, I want to thank Matthew for giving me this opportunity "THANK YOU A LOT MAN, FOR EVERYTHING!!!

Now I think it's "a brief music review" o'clock.
First is ATB - Future Memories Album. ATB got "back to basics" as he said in one of his videos, and when I heard the album it really like that. A lot of the songs have this "old ATB" sound which made me really happy and nostalgic. You can watch the videos of ATB - Making of Future Memories on YouTue.

Second is Armin van Buuren - Imagine. It's not a brand new album but I never mentioned it so now is the time. Well... you know... like... JUST FUCKING HEAR IT!!! DO IT NAO!!! It's amazing.

Third A State of Trance 400 a.k.a. 8 years of A State of Trance - 72 hours of pure awesomeness. If you missed it search in some torrents and download it (it's around 7 gigabytes but it's worth it). So many guest DJs, so many awesome tracks, just amazing.

I'll review some software not now cause I'm a bit... lazy to write :D.

The Great comeback :D

, , , ...

I haven't written anything in months :frown:. I've graduated from school, a was admitted in a University in Japan. Nothing much :D.

So now a bit more storytelling cause I haven't been here for half an year probably.

My graduation went smoothly without any problems at all. My university application was the same as my graduation. Now I'm currently in the land of the rising sun, let's say that I'm "Alive and Kickin'" as Mr. Big sing in their song with the same name as the quotation.

I currently live in Beppu-shi, Oita-ken, Japan and, damn it's a beautiful place. It's a countryside city so nothing interesting happens, but if you don't make your own fun you won't be able to make your life more interesting.

I started a Video Blog and this is one of the reasons why I haven't written in AGES.

Here's the link for the Video Blog: Bai Lazo's YouTube Channel
Here's the link for my web gallery: Martin Totev's Web Gallery

Now back to the gaming section :D. Damn I forgot about this.

So i'll link an amazing video of an amazing game:
Stalin vs. Martians! (NO COMMENT!!! YOU MUST SEE IT!!!)

And now for my favourite gaming news: Inside Gaming
It's a machinima styled gaming news videos and those guys are making the news look alot more fun :D.

I've also been listening to alot of podcast recently and here's a link: ListenUP - 1UP.com
This podcast is very good with interesting discussions.
And my other favourite podcast is: NoobToob - The independent Gaming Podcast
Those guys are INSANE :D.

I'll try to write more here, sorry for abandoning my blog guys.

Absence

Hi everybody.
Sorry for being absent for this long but i'm a bit busy . This is my last year in High school so things are little tightened up because i'm studying for the TOEFL iBT Test and i don't have time to write in my blog. Things in bulgaria are a little complicated now because the teachers are on strike and this strike may cause many troubles for every student in bulgaria especially last year students(like me). The other reason for my absence is because i'm in a pinch absentminded, and i don't know the cause of this :frown:. I don't have muse for creating anything, only English, English and English. This out-of-muse state is stopping me from playing the bass guitar, i can't concentrate because of this lousy state i'm in.

Change

,

Everything is gonna change
But life aint gonna wait you can fight it but you know it
Never will change aint nothin gonna change till you change.

Richie Kotzen - Change (Album: Change)

English translation coming soon .

Crazy Sunshine

,

Hello everyone reading my Blog.
I'm creating blog for the first time and I'm still a little confused, but i'll get used to it. But this is not the topic .
Outside(in Pleven) is 40 degrees centigrade and this is the only thing that is stopping me from going outside. I'm a bass guitar beginner so the weather outside is somehow good for me. First the pluses, if the weather outside was normal or a bit more cooler than now( about 32 degrees.) probably i was going to walk meaninglessly in Pleven. Now the minuses, if i go outside for a smoke i will be fried :frown:.
