This past weekend

I went shopping for clothes to wear to the funeral that morning. Linda, along with her mom and sister (I had not seen her sister in about 15 years also), picked me up and we went to the funeral home. My mom was at work but came straight there after she was done at work. After the service they dropped us off at home and we relaxed the rest of the night.
The next day, I spent time with my mom shopping in Downtown Brooklyn & Manhattan. It started snowing that morning. The weatherman had originally predicted about 4-6 inches of snow, but later downgraded it to 1-3 inches. At first, it started as flurries, then picked up along with the wind. Later it started sleeting too. This was my first time being home when it was snowing in quite a few years.
That night as Mom and I were walking back home, we ran into one of the kids on the block that I grew up with. This was the first time seeing someone that I grew up with on the block in almost 20 years!
We rememembered each other and now she has a 13-year old son!
That night, everything froze so in the morning it was very icy outside. Linda & I both made it back safely. I have some pictures that I took with my mobile phone of the snow falling. I had forgotten my camera so had to use the phone instead. These 5 pictures were taken on Saturday after Mom & I had gotten out of the subway at 34th St.-Penn Station. I took these outside of Macy's:

The shots look great, I think you could take them from a watch camera and would still look awesome, due to the awesomeness of the buildings there.

Hi Rose, the weather reminded me of what I grew up in NYC. I remember going to school while it's snowing/sleeting with the wind blowing.
Hi Lois, You are quite right about that. What did your husband say about being in Brooklyn?
Hi Kerstin, it would be awesome to see you in NYC this year! I can't wait!
Hi Sarah, you should visit NYC sometime. I think you need a vacation to New York!

Hi Sarah,
Hi Alla, Most of my childhood friends have moved away. I don't know where they are now so it was a shock to actually find one still there. Next time, I think it will be a better reason for me to come home. I can think of 2 reasons.
