Patriot Act fight moves to Senate
http://news.com.com/Patriot+Act+fight+moves+to+Senate/2100-1028_3-5995558.html?tag=nefd.top
The so-called "Patriot" Act is totally unconstitutional. It clearly violates the Bill of Rights, by destroying the civil liberties that were guaranteed by them. The new powers granted by the "Patriot" Act have already been abused by snooping on innocent Americans that had nothing to do with a terrorism investigation. The FBI has already admitted to such. Here's an article from USA Today:

H.R. 3199 continues the federal government's assault on civil liberties of innocent Americans as evidenced by the following 2 articles:

Congressman Ron Paul of Texas has previosly warned about the "Patriot" Act:

The European Union is also following the same trend:

The American govenment has also been caught using secret prisons around the world to torture terrorism suspects in a practice called "rendition":

Congress also created National ID Cards when they attached H.R. 418 (REAL ID Act) to a spending bill that was passed earlier this year. H.R. 418 creates new federal standards for State drivers licenses. The REAL ID Act is also unconstitutional. It is not authorized by Article I, Section 8 (or any other part) of the Constitution. It even allows the personal information (name, date of birth, place of residence, Social Security Number) that will be on the new drivers licenses to be shared with the govenments of Canada & Mexico!

One of America's founding fathers, Thomas Jefferson, in a letter to Colonel Charles Yancey wrote:
"If a nation expects to be ignorant - and free - in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be."

Congressman Ron Paul wrote about freedom. You can read it on the following link:
What Does Freedom Really Mean?

The United States Constitution does not GRANT any rights. It only GUARANTEES those rights that we are naturally born with (read the Declaration of Independence). In stark contrast, the United Nation's Universal Declaration of Human Righs grants rights and freedoms upon people as long as they are not contrary to U.N. purposes. Article 29(3) states, " These rights and freedoms may in no case be exercised contrary to the purposes and principles of the United Nations."
