FASUCHEM GOSPEL OUTREACH

JESUS THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE

MESSAGE

What says the LORD today? Thus says the LORD, "If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened; but God has surely listened and heard my voice in prayer. Praise be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld his love from me!" (Psalm 66:18-20 NIV).

Sinful living prevents GOD from hearing our prayers. We always say we pray, and sometimes we even pray in earnest but we can not understand why God did not answer our prayers. Sin in the heart of a BELIEVER keeps God from answering many of his prayers. The Scripture says, "If I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear me. He did not say that if I sin or have sinned that He will not answer me. The key to what the Psalmist said was in the first part of this psalm, "If I regard iniquity in my heart..." I am a sinner saved by the grace of God, BUT if I hold or retain sin in my heart God will not hear my prayers. Some of the ways we can regard iniquity in our hearts are:
1. If I love sin
2. If I cherish sin
3. If I give excuses for sin
4. If I cover up sin to the extent that it becomes a controversy between me and God. Men and women, who loved God, were people after His own heart but their prayers were not answered until they REMOVED THE SIN which separated them from God. Because, if we let it, that sin will become a barrier. As it is written, "He who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy" (Proverbs 28:13 NIV). Would you like to continue holding, nursing, retaining, or regarding iniquity in your heart? Remember, it is not GOD's will for you to pray without good result. Therefore, starting from now, REMOVE EVERY SIN from your heart, quit every excuse and argument with God. Then, every impossibility will be made possible as you see all the former closed doors opening before you.

Rise up now! Begin to talk to GOD, vowing to remove every SIN from your heart, God will hear and richly bless you. Remain blessed in the LORD.
