For those who wondered

The blog's name is in Japanese. I wrote it like that because I like this language. Many wont understand it as it is, but anyway it's phonetic reading is "Mugen no tasogare". If all you see are squares, thats because your OS doesn't has an Asian Language installed. Want to know what it means?? Look it out. >=] There are plenty of websites nowadays that can teach you certain things about a language.

My personal favorite is http://www.guidetojapanese.org/learn/grammar . But you probably must know some basics beforehand. Like that Japanese can be written using 3 different sets of characters: Hiragana, Katakana and Kanji. You use them depending on the words used. Hiragana and Katakana are used for syllables, but that doesn't means that every syllable is writable with these. Hiragana is used for Japanese origin words, while Katakana is for words borrowed from other languages (ie TV is written te-re-bi as in televi-sion).

Kanji are the characters that the Japanese language borrows from Chinese giving them different pronunciations and somewhat the same meaning. But first there is something more important to understand. each character has one somewhat abstract meaning, and several pronunciations depending on the word it is being used. The different pronunciations are also categorized into two groups: on-yomi(chinese reading) and kun-yomi(japanese reading).

Why would anyone want to bother with something so complicated???
Because combining Kanji forms words, and for people from western culture they give a word we understood another meaning that might look somewhat poetic. 花火 is pronounced HANABI. 花 is the kanji for flower. 火 is the kanji for fire. Together they mean FireWorks. Those pretty lights in the sky are to Japanese people Flowers made of fire. >=] >=]
