Pristy Tools 2010

,

I started this project about 10 years ago, back then it was just a very simple and raw software. I came across with Visual DialogScript on a big and heavy computer magazine PC World or something close to that. Anyway i was curios how to make .exe file on Windows machine and that was that. My Tools involved with hard work from many Windows versions to latest one. If you like to try them out you can do that by downloading Beta Release from main site, just type Pristy Tools in Google. So what are they, what they do and how to use them. Avery tools by it self have a job to do and it to it just nicely and fast. I like to use Web Assistant and others to. LINK

Pristy Tools contains:
Web Assistant
System Powerless
PC Detector
Tweak-Win
Memory Clean
File Wipe-out

Kubuntu 9.10 preview

,

This was my first install and test of KDE based distro for a long time. I decided to go with 3.3GB DVD install version because i didn't know what actuality will be put on the hard drive with install. The install take about 2x times longer then Ubuntu it self and i'm talking about 40 minutes plus. Installation put on hard drive a lot of localizations files and then remove them at the end of install and this extended process by at lest 15 minutes why doing so i don't know. KDE 4 is stable no crash massages like it was in previous versions and if you like the space feel of operating system then is KDE definitely for you. KDE have some nice touches but it wasting it with inconsistent fat main menu, funny controls and using blue window glow over blue wallpaper. Desktop is controlled only by Widgets and this can be useful or not at lest you can have desktop clear by it self. KDE have also it's own Koffice it's not installed by install well it's needed for adding full basic design graphics support at lest for editing .jpg format. I welcome the power management system is very good, maybe will take some time for normal user to know how it works anyhow it's brilliant. I just wanna say KDE have pluses and minuses when build around it's own software can bring big benefits in the future. :faint: PIC LINK

I give this distro 3/5 stars.

Moon water

,

NASA found water on the Moon about 24 gallons or 90 liters so they are not sending tourists for a swim in a full swimming gear just yet. What can we do with it, all liquid is not automatically means water maybe Russians left some Vodka reserves there, they ware drunk on last space mission and forget about it. Maybe is just some rocket fuel left from movie Red Planet they spill some when using it. Earth has enough water for now or maybe not, polar ice caps are all almost gone so we have plenty at lest for penguins and space left for more oil rigs so no big deal. So get your car ready for wash and toilet to flush with Moon water it doesn't get any better than this. LINK Liquid mouse, maybe can we fill that too with Moon water?

VueScan

,

I tried this software on my scanner and it works. It's available for all platforms and support about 1200 scanners. My 5 years old Agfa E25 USB or something close to that i just plug it, wait for power cycle then open VueScan and it just scan automatically as preview and was good for saving too. This was the fastest scanner install&use on Ubuntu, about 3 min total. This software is not free and cost 40$ for standard and 80$ for Pro so if you really like your scanner and want to use it on some Linux distro or else where and don't have drivers for it that's maybe your only option. This software also support many scanning techniques like creating raw files, ICC profiles and color calibration. LINK
