So there i was, december 2010, a lot of expectations of the 2011 season. I started well, doing 2 and a half weeks of my training plan, and then it started. One morning I wake up with a feeling like a car crushed me while i was asleep. It turned out i got a cold. So I went to the hospital , and the folks there gave me some basic medicine to lower my body temperature. But it didn't work, and it didn't work for 7 days. I was laying in bed for 7 days , never below the 38 celsius body temperature(at night it went to 39.8 , every night) After those 7 days, i went to the hospital for the 100000. time and they diagnosed me with pneumonia. Wow, nice, another 7 days laying in the hospital, dying of boringness and knowing my winter preparations would be ruined. So i got out of the hospital, and doctor told me I couldnt run for 1 fudging month.Weeeee.So i sat there at home, unable to do any physycal activity, because of tons of medicine running through my veins. And yay the day has come at last. February the 14. my first training day after 2 months of being a human-plant.I went running 6 km, and I was feeling like Jesus on the cross.Day by day i could run more and more, and in week and a half i did a interval training 20x 150m with a slight change in tempo. I felt like Usain Fudging Bolt with the tempo of just above 4.00 xD And was so happy to be able to do intervals (as they were).
Then comes the beggining of the season, Juniper Open ( like Portugal O-meeting at Balcans

) and my first year in M18 at international competitions ( I run in M20 in my country). My opponents, whole Hungarian national team.Wow great, i thought, they're gonna bust my butt so hard. And so I went there with my physycal and technical ( I didn't even touch a map during winter, exept for Catching Features) condition as it was.
First day, I get the map can't concetrate on the map due to coldness -3 degrees, and do to my concetration.Make some stupid mistakes at 1. and 2. , a middle class mistake at 3. and a big mistake at 4. , then i got along with the map here and there, and ran rest of the course without mistakes, with a fare pace. Finished 7. 5 and a half minute behind the 1. placed, wondering did they have pneumonia too during the winter? At least i know one of them well, and he's a fudging European vice-champion

.
Map Day 1Second day, the course was 7.8 km, and i knew i would die of tiredness, because i was already tired after the first day. I started the race with the fair pace, and was really concentrated, on the legs 1-5, there was a mistake at 6., and then some bad routechoices at 7. and 9. At the control post 11, i was already very tired, and my eyes were starting to blur, so i did that curving line to the control, losing the rhytm. I ended the race, 14 minutes behind the first placed guy. Wow, there, they busted my butt.
Map Day 2I ended the competition in the 5. overall place, behind all 4 national team runners. But i was satisfied, to be able to run nearly as them with my 0 physycal condition.
You can see the results and split times
HERESo i started some serious trainings at last, as soon as i came back from the competition, and I was already able to do some 15x150 metres 3.00 pace intervals, and some 10x150 metres uphill intervals, as well as long 15 km runs

Next week I'm going to the competition that opens the season in Serbia. I expect a shitty competition with poor course, as every year. So expect another blog post in a week
