On saturday and sunday I participated in the race which opened the O season in Serbia.I competed in the M18-20 category(1991-1994)
First day was middle distance 4.2 km on the terrain similar to the one at Juniper Open last week.I made the first mistake on the 3rd control because i went 'round wrong green part and i lost about 20 seconds. My second mistake was on the 5th control where i got confused by a lots of small trees in that part and lost there 3 minutes!Next mistake came at the 7 control where i lost 4 minutes again confused with a lot of small trees and control was well hidden too.Next mistake was on the 11. control where i lost about 3 minutes.I finished the race with about 10 or more minutes of mistake with a final time of 39 minutes on the 4. place 11 minutes behind winner Daniel Barkasz.
Map 1st day
Second day was a real adventure. We had to walk to the finish area 5 km! Then 1,5 more km to the start. My course was 6.8 km long with the 380 m of altitude. The terrain was very hilly and hard.I did not have any major mistakes. There was thick snow on the ground so it made it veeeery hard running uphill because it was very slippery..:SI finished the course with the 60 min. time 11.5 minutes behind the winner Andrey Borstnik
