The best way of starting from scratch in Finance like in any other subject is getting information.
The easiest info resource for beginners is just listening to the media.
We watch the television, read newspapers, listen to the radio and they say so many things related to Finance!
But... What do they really mean? Will that affect the money which I'm spending on groceries?
It is pretty simple to understand if you know the main keywords!

Finance glossaries are the most precise ones. They are much more precise than any other dictionary.
We can compare with a simple example.
1. If we search for the word "Finance" in the Oxford Dictionay the result will be this one:
finance
/finanss, fi-/
• noun 1 the management of large amounts of money, especially by governments or large companies. 2 monetary support for an enterprise. 3 (finances) monetary resources.
• verb provide funding for.
— ORIGIN Old French, from finer ‘settle a debt’.
