Cahaba Lilies

These are glorious flowers that only grow in a few places, mostly at select spots in Alabama's Cahaba River. Each flower only blooms for a day. Who would like to join us for a May 2008 trip down to see the lilies?

I wonder if there are any still blooming...?
I saw a picture in the paper last week of a group of kids in Montevallo on a hike to see them nearby...
I'm up for a trip to Buck Creek Park in Helena to see. That's where I saw them blooming on Mother's Day of 2007.
