Firefly Sangha: Birmingham, Alabama

Meditation & Mindfulness Practice in the Tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh

So many ways to practice

, , ,

"We touch in many different ways. . ."

Our little sangha is becoming such a sweet place of peace, of shared moments, of insight, and of quiet joy.

It is a blessing to be able to practice with other people.

Here is a poem, just because:

Get to know your own gentle, quiet heart
and sweet tenderness.
Befriend silence. And stillness.
Be present. You are enough, and so much more!
There is nothing to prove.
You are deeply worthy.

Notice the love that is there.
Allow intimacy. . .like noticing the
sound of the bees,
or opening your eyes to see
leaves
falling
from trees
on a crisp blue-sky day.

Listen,
to yourself and others,
and notice the heartbeat
of the world.

Slow dance.
Move blindfolded.
Just be.

That alone is such a gift.

All are welcome to join us Monday evenings in INDIAN SPRINGS, 7 until 9 p.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church.

If you don't live in Birmingham but are interested in practicing with others, visit www.iamhome.org to find a worldwide sangha directory.

Until next time,
be well.
