I got this Motorola StarTac-70 from my friend. He has putted it in a moisture-proof box many years. Motorola had released StarTac series since 1996. You could find variety of models.StarTAC70,80,90..AMPS mode...etc. Whereas StarTAC80 are marketed for high-end user, The price of StarTAC70 was lower. In Taiwan, it was bundled with prepaid card in a package and the price was under $9000 NT(about 300 US dollars).
The ante is not original. It's a "Lighting ante". The ante is lighting when it receives a call. This kind of stuffs was popular in end of 90s in Taiwan.
The LCD dose not support Chinese.....
During the years, every Taiwanese tried to translate friend's names or nick names in English for the unfriendly address book.
The phone uses the full size SIM card. There is a "home made" carrier!!!
