Aberystwth Castle visit 20th February 2008
Tuesday, 11. March 2008, 05:39:33
View looking North - makes a change of my east-west views from the south coast!
View looking South, there is a memorial monument in the background.
Close up view of the monument, i forgot what it was called but i saw wreaths at the bottom so i think its a memorial monument.
Heres me!
Views of the Castle ruins, its quite a nice place to walk around and at this time of year it was quiet.
Wreaths by the memorial monument and views from the front of it. I found it interesting as its nice to learn a bit of History about mid Wales.
Ideally situated benches and the buildings in the background are part of the University, it feels like a brilliant place to be.
Here is a compass point circle showing which direction places are, like towns from the Irish coast and along the Aberystwth coastline.
We take a closer look at one of the larger pieces of the Castle, and find a board with information of the Castle and its history, i sharpened the board a lot in order for you to try and read it although its tricky you can just make it out!
Iam the King of the Castle!
I took a pic of the archway entrance from inside, the view outside is great.
We had such a nice time.
I had a nice nights sleep and i think it is a nice big place, much bigger than the Uni i work at in Bognor! In the morning before going to South Wales, we all had lunch in the Uni cafe and i took a pic of a Dafodil as you have to have a Daffodil photo if you visit Wales!
After lunchtime, we said goodbye to my Aunty and sister, my sister is coming back from Easter holidays which is nice, we miss not having her here as mid Wales is a VERY long journey to visit straight from Bognor, about 5 and a half hours!
We got to Caerleon to my other Aunties house around early evening and iam glad iam going to Cwmbran shopping centre the next day because iam running out of clean clothes lol:P
Once again, sorry for the late posting, i had a little rest after sorting out so many pics! I had a great time in Aberystwth and hope to visit it again in the Summer.
