I am a Bird of Paradise

Bird of Paradise

That is the name of the flower shown on this blog. One of my favorite flowers. :0

I am a bird of paradise, too. Need I explain? All good women are.

MMS Blogging?

How did that get on here?

Happy Thanksgiving.

Fund raising hell

,

Well, where are you now?

It is late at night.

My thoughts go through the day.

Today someone wrote I threatened her -- which wasn't an intent of mine. She also said I insulted her staff (how can staff be insulted when I send her an email about my opinion of something they did, so, what did she tell them?) I really don't think "they should get their act together" is an insult.

I did what the staff said to do and she got mad at me. Doesn't it make sense that if I am following someone's instructions that people should not get mad at me?

How does one find out how to do something or what is the proper procedure without meeting people and asking questions? I was just doing what someone showed me to do last year! All of a sudden everything is changed, no one told me; I wasn't upset or anything just surprised.

Seems someones didn't fill out a form that I informed the someones to please fill out and since that form wasn't filled out, I couldn't make copies or even have them initialed to go on the bulletin board. I only wanted to put it on two bulletin boards! So, some people got mad at me because I said it was okay, well that is what I was told! From now on, everything is going to be in writing! Someone who actually knew what was going on told people he didn't know anything about it! I know he is busy, he must have a REAL bad memory; or else he didn't want to get in trouble for not filling out the form...

Well, everyone with a job blamed me, since I am a volunteer (I can understand that, they don't want to lose their jobs...) (although, I wouldn't do that; I would fess up "I am so busy I forgot to fill out the form. Yes, I know about this fundraiser.) Oh, well... What am I blamed with? Contacting people about something, hoping to find out what they want me to do. Someone told me to get copies made of something. Dang, these people are hyper. I am running a fundraiser that is new and this has created more work for them, so some are not pleased it seems. Well, all they have to do is tell me what to do and I'll do it; but they want to do stuff. If they want to do stuff, let them.

Now, I have been given a procedure. So, that is a good thing that came out of this.

Is "get your act together an insult"?

At times like these I am glad that I am easygoing most of the time; and fortunately, feel that way presently..

Maybe I should just let someone else take this over? ...

Just got involved in this because I got sick that at meetings people are saying, "We can do this fund raiser, we can do this, blaa blaa, blaaa" then, no one volunteers to actually DO something!!!!!!

ARGGGG!!!!!

Goodnight to anyone who is reading this.
