Nail bombs near my home

A second explosion I heard an hour later, but this time was a bit far and the sirens were moving to other places. But now it was a bit strange. A louder sound a few minutes ago just made my window tremble. Seconds later, a little metal ball crossed it, making a hole and fortunately hitting the heavy courtains and not me.... there they are, the sirens again... and the news have not said any word yet.
Anyway... I picked the ball. Obviously a home made nail bomb (I don't know if it is called nail bomb, in colombia we just say "petardo") and the little object is lying in my desk, still smelling like hot gunpowder. I would take a picture but my camera batteries are just dead
As soon as they get recharged, I will post something more... only that the ball will not be smelling by then. Why is it still necessary to use bombs to express feelings? Seems like we just don't understand that peace is the way and not the goal.

Slartibartfast: Perhaps I'm old and tired, but I think that the chances of finding out what's actually going on are so absurdly remote that the only thing to do is to say, "Hang the sense of it," and keep yourself busy. I'd much rather be happy than right any day.
Arthur Dent: And are you?
Slartibartfast: Ah, no.
[laughs, snorts]
Slartibartfast: Well, that's where it all falls down, of course.
But back on topic, there was a mention in the newspaper this morning. Three or four lines, saying there were only two nailbombs and a gas station worker was hurt by the last one, the one that broke my window.
I wonder how can things get fixed by this. Unity? There is no such thing here...
