[Esta es una respuesta a alguien que me dijo que en bogotá no puede existir un metro, y por tanto, una falacia el votar por alguien que prometa eso. Lamento la salida de tema, pero es algo que me gusta tocar cualquier día y compartir con otros.]
El metro sí se puede hacer, pero a mí la verdad no me importa. Como alguien dijo, Ciudad de México, construída sobre el lecho del lago Texcoco, tiene uno de los metros más imponentes de latinoamérica. Buenos Aires, ciudad de la que regresé hace algunos meses, está construída sobre el delta de un río, y el río más grande de sur américa, sobre terrenos totalmente arenizos (tan arenizos que los edificios tienen 10 niveles de sótanos, pero no pueden tener más de 5 pisos de altura en la mayoría de las zonas) y aún así tiene algo así como 5 o 6 líneas diferentes y todo un sistema de tránsito complejo, pero altamehnte eficaz. Si se refiere a los comentarios de un grupo de "ingenieros" civiles, que basan sus trabajos sobre un proceso mecanicista, como estamos acostumbrados (lo digo porque yo soy "ingeniero") entonces eso del ingenio es algo así como un mundo esotérico, donde lo que no existe no es posible hacerlo. Pero bueno, como dije antes, a mí no me interesa el metro, si lo hace o no lo hace el seño Moreno, me vale un pito, pero el sentir el carácter social de todo un plan de gobierno y el respaldo de un grupo político en crecimiento, eso sí me atrae; y acepto que la política de Lucho Garzón no me ha tocado directamente, pero sí he visto muchos avances en aspectos que _no se ven_ cuando se construyen ciclorutas, bolardos o se "moderniza" una ciudad recuperando un parque en la 93.
Por eso digo que _yo_ no estoy interesado en el metro, y menos en el asistencialismo, sino en cosas como frenar la privatización de colegios (mal llamada concesión), que ahora no es más sino un desparpajo de corrupción, mercantilismo rampante y facilismo llamado promoción automática (gran idea de mockus!), que bajo el supuesto manto de la "cobertura" cayó en el antiguo error de la disputa calidad - vs - cantidad. Y aún así, el mensaje a la presa es ese: "Se amplió la cobertura". Pero nunca preguntan: ¿y a qué precio?
Cuando un tal senador dizque llamado Alvaro Uribe, propone y consigue llevar adelante un proyecto de ley llamado ley 100 por allá a inicios de los años 90, donde se le permite a una tal entidad de salud, eligir bajo su propio juicio a quién atiende y a quien no, creando lo que ahora todos llamamos el "paseo de la muerte" y en medicina legal se le conoce informalmente como "muerte por ley 100", veo que semejantes atrocidades, aún impunes, no pueden venir de gente que se preocupe por un bienestar general, sino completamente particular y con un público objetivo. Si una ciudad, mi ciudad, terminó arrodillada frente a la decisión de un alcalde de fulmilarla con bolardos, finalmente descubriendo que curiosamente la fábrica de los dichosos elementos era de un grupo amigo al alcalde, me doy cuenta que ese tipo de personas no tienen un sentido de pertenencia a la ciudad, sino que promueven el clientelismo político, como siempre ha sido dicho por los lados de izquierda, pero no, eso no importa, pues para _mi_ es eso lo que me prohibe elegir ese tipo de gente para gobernar, capitalistas salvajes (el título del libro de Peñalosa, curiosamente es ese "Capitalismo"), empresarios hijos de empresarios educados e interesados únicamente en conducir una ciudad como si fuera un sistema productivo mecánico, (o en el caso de uribe, una finca de población de 40 millones de cabezas) entonces mi respuesta es "NO GRACIAS, no estoy interesado". Lastimosamente, y mea culpa, no pude revisar en detalle el plan de gobierno de Moreno, pero conozco los lineamientos de un partido como el Polo Democrático y sí, van en el mismo camino en el que a mí me gustaría ver mi ciudad construída, donde los ricos no sean TAN ricos, y los pobres no sean TAN pobres.

[This is a reply I did when someone told me a subway in Bogotá cannot be done, and thus, a fallacy to vote for someone who promises that. This is according to the recent results for electing a Major in this city. Sorry for the "off topic", but this is a very personal topic I would like to chat with someone, any day.]
The subway can be done, but I do not really care. Someone said before me, Mexico City, built upon lake Texcoco, has one of the biggest subways of latinamerica. Buenos Aires's subway, from when I came some months ago, is built on a river's delta, and the biggest one in south america, for that matter, on terrains total and completely sandy (sedimentary rock, so sandy that most buildings have 10 levels down, but cannot have more than 5 up) and yet it has 5 or 6 lines and a very complex transport system, but highly efficient. If you are talking about comments about civil "engineers", that work upon a mechanicist process, like the one we are used to (I am telling this because I am an engineer) then that thing called creativity is a whole new esoteric world, in which if something is not done already, then it cannot be done. Anyway, as I said before, I do not care about the subway, if he does it or not, Mr. Moreno, but to feel the social strength of a government plan and the backup of a growing group, that calls my attention; and I accept that the current government have not touched my personally, but I have seen a lot of better things that _cannot be seen_ when cycling routes are built or when a city is "modernized" by recovering some green zones in a park.
That's why _I_ say I am not interested in the subway, even less in the helpfulness, but in things like stopping selling the public schools at private hands (by calling them schools by "concession"), that nowadays is nothing more than a rampant way for corruption, mercantilism and something called "automatic promotion" (Mockus's great idea!), that under the suposed veil of "coberture" fell in the mistake of quality versus quantity. Yet, the message to the press is: "There is more coberture". But they never asked: At what price?
When some called senator Alvaro Uribe, proposes and manages to bring ahead a law project called ley 100, back in the early nineties, where a so called Health Institution can choose, under its own judgement, who it will treat, and who will not, it creates that we call now "roadway to death" or informal among forensics "death by ley 100", I see that those atrocities, still unchanged, cannot come from people that cares about a general well being, but completely particular and with a defined target. If a city, my city, knelt down to a Major's decision of hunt it with small cement poles, curiously finding out later that the making of those was in charge to a close friend of the Major, I realize that those kind of people do not belong to this city, but to the clientelism, as has always been said by some people, but no, that does not matter, because for _me_ that is what prohibits myself from voting for those kind of persons, wild capitalists (curiosly enough, that's the title of Peñalosa's book), or bussiness men that come from bussiness families, educated and interested in guiding a city as if it were a mechanic productive system (or in Uribe's case, a farm with 40 million cows) then my answer is "NO THANKS, I am not interested". Sadly, and that is my fault, I could not check Moreno's detailed goverment plan, but I do know the main lines of the PDA and yes, they go in the same direction to where I would like my city to point to, where rich people are not SO rich, and poor people are not SO poor.
