Tribute to George Carlin

, , , ...

I knew about George Carlin just after he died, as one of my favourite writers was also a fan of him.

I wanted to write something since then, but now I found the smartest and most shocking quote of Carlin, that shows my feeling very well.

Originally posted by Carlin:

I look at it this way... For centuries now, man has done everything he can to destroy, defile, and interfere with nature: clear-cutting forests, strip-mining mountains, poisoning the atmosphere, over-fishing the oceans, polluting the rivers and lakes, destroying wetlands and aquifers... so when nature strikes back, and smacks him on the head and kicks him in the nuts, I enjoy that. I have absolutely no sympathy for human beings whatsoever. None. And no matter what kind of problem humans are facing, whether it's natural or man-made, I always hope it gets worse.

Enjoy

Broken

,

That's what I call being broke

P:

The value is in colombian pesos... so...

Talking about something broke... I recommend a musicians couple called Broken Poets. I found them in Magnatune

They might be called Broken, but their music and lyrics are truly amazing. That's my favourite free musicians group.

You can listen their whole albums for free (in the Creative Commons sense of the word). If you want to support them (or any of the artist in magnatune) just buy the album. You can pay for it what your heart desires.

A must watch

Maybe I should go to Bath.

Naturally, the common people don't want war; neither in Russia nor in England nor in America, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy or a fascist dictatorship or a Parliament or a Communist dictatorship. ...voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country.

Hermann Goering

Any similarity with certain couple of leaders in latinamerica... it is just a coincidence.

The pirate speaks,"I be sorry for bein' late. I was busy robberin' some guys and drinkin' rum, so t' weekend I had t' spent it at work. But I had a few seconds t' update me site, that will be like this for undefined period o' time. Thanks a lot t' all for comin' in even with t' lack o' activity. Wait... what I just said? I be becomin' a sissy!"

You know I am no good

, , ,

It's been long since the time I posted a sad text... but there are times when things HAVE to end. I cheated myself, like I knew I would, says the song. Trying to fix a broken piece is pointless, as there is no way to recover anything to its initial state. Scars, even on the surface, change completely our point of view on the subject.

This is my post-it note to remember that I have to learn how, what and who I am. Always.

Adios

I leave you, with one of my favourite songs

I never realized how sad the tango really is...

What's the point now of studying engineering? Even engineers don't do things properly...
