Some info on Puerto Rico:
Puerto Rico is a US territory, one of the last Colonies in the 21st century... Spanish is spoken in Puerto Rico, since we were "discovered" by "not the Taino or previous Arawak indians living here, but by Cristobal Colon during his 2nd American tour
...We were colonized by the Spanish until 1898 when we were given as a boot of war to the Americans (USA) at the end of the Hispanoamerican war. For that reason, we speak Spanish, but English is well understood by many of us. We speak Spanglish too... In the 21st century - Tourism, Pharmaceutical & Biotech companies, Rum, services & Coffee are an important component of our economy. So I invite all of you "readers" to come visit us and enjoy a bunch of different adventures which can include: beaches, rivers, mountains, forests, extreme forest zip lines, our Old Spanish forts and other historical attractions. We also have plenty of colorful nightlife with all kinds of music and atmosphere. I promise, we are very good ambassadors. We care that our visitors enjoy their vacation.

If you someday decide to visit, I recommend you to dont miss this places: (rent a car and explore our island)
- Spanish Old San Juan and El Morro Fortress, Paseo La Princesa
- El Yunque rainforest
- Toro Verde forest zip lines...
- Camuy Caves
- The Porta del Sol Region lighthouse and Beaches
- Arecibo - SETI radiotelescope featured in movie: Contact...
But for me the best thing is Our tropical white sand Beaches.
There are ot hundreds of beautiful beaches and small beach coves around the island...
Some of the best beaches:
North - near San Juan (capital)]:are Condado Beach, Isla Verde, El Escambron and Ocean Park beaches...
Northwest Coast - Rincon Corcega & the surfing beaches...Crash boat in Aguadilla, Jobos pronounced [Hobos] in Isabela
West Coast - Boqueron beach, Buye, Combate and Playa Sucia (dirty beach, the one in the photo)adjacent to the Cabo Rojo lighthouse.
South Coast - All the Cabo Rojo area beaches and Playa Santa and Gilligans island in Guanica...In Lajas at night get on a small boat and experience Bioluminiscent bay in Parguera lajas at night (best with no Moon)... Have you ever swam or splashed in natural bio-illuminated waters? ...
East Coast - Flamenco Beach in Culebra island is an incredible beach an is accesible by ferry
Not only you will enjoy tropical climate forests, mountains & beaches...We also have the modern nightlife for all tastes: casinos, discos, pubs, fine restaurants and cheap "Chinchorros" which are local owned small bars with good prices and great tasty & varied local food. Try some tostones (fried plantains) or "mofongo" (smashed plantains firlled with fresh seafood) for example. Enjoy a few a Piña Colada drinks (coconut milk & pineapple with crushed iced), but first get a taste of the "Pina Colada" without alcohol (SO GOOD!!!) and then tell your bartender to add the RUM... (repeat - preferibly laid back in a beach chair or hammock...)
Don't forget to visit the Porta Del Sol Region and you' ll get a chance to enjoy paradisiacal sunsets (green flashes are common), watch big wave riding surfers or enjoy calm beaches on the south side of the peninsula... Dolphins and or whales jumping near shore are common at Rincon (fun laid back town with lots of nightlife) in the Porta Del Sol Region... My favorite!
