About me
Sponsor one Free Dialysis for a Poor Patient of MardanAs provision of specialised medical treatment to all segments of the society at their doorsteps is not possible in the under developed countries. Mardan Doctors Welfare Society has announced that free dialysis will be provided to patients.
28 percent of patients have a family history of kidney disease, 36 percent have family history of hypertension, and 30 percent have family history of diabetes. 31.7 percent of the people have chronic kidney disease, 19.2 percent are not aware that they have a kidney problem, 32.7 percent are found to be diabetic. Among the 11.7 percent who had been previously diagnosed and known to have a disease, 60 to 80 percent were under treatment, but blood pressure and blood sugar were controlled in less than 40 percent of those under treatment. All these patients are at risk of kidney failure which is associated with high morbidity and mortality, and the treatment cost is beyond the reach of most people.
A person suffering from kidney failure can survive only when he/she undergoes dialysis or a kidney transplantation. Dialysis involves the use of a “Dialyser”, which emulates the functions of a normal kidney. It needs to be done 2-3 times a week and is expensive. Sponsor a dialysis scheme performs free dialysis every month. We helps poor patients from all over Mardan by offering them free dialysis.
Our aims is to provide health care and financial assistance to those who have kidney problems and do not have the finances to seek medical attention.
