FrogbootsFrogBoots Tuesday, July 1, 2008 7:27:37 PM

confused Hmmm...either a case of mistaken identity, or you have given me a new name? wink

José Torreszetorres Tuesday, July 1, 2008 8:34:31 PM

Yes, I have given ypou a new name! Now you are Ana! wink I hope you like it! smile

FrogbootsFrogBoots Tuesday, July 1, 2008 9:57:35 PM

lol Thank you, Ze!

I do like the name...I can add it to my collection! (That's an inside joke I will explain on the 365 pilgrimage to Wildflowers and Dewponds of Europe! lol) But do you not like Frogboots as a name? wink

José Torreszetorres Tuesday, July 1, 2008 10:03:09 PM

lol I like frogboots! But "sapo das botas" no one have this name! lol

Nice you like Ana, is also my sister name! wink

FrogbootsFrogBoots Tuesday, July 1, 2008 11:29:56 PM

lol "Sapo" means toad, no? Eu prefiro râs aos sapos, embora alguns sapos sejam bonitos. Perhaps "râ dos botinas" or "botinas da râ ?" Botinas da râ Ana! yes lol

José Torreszetorres Wednesday, July 2, 2008 7:53:23 AM

lollol "Râ das botas"bigsmilebigsmile do you know "gato das botas"? lol

FrogbootsFrogBoots Wednesday, July 2, 2008 12:49:03 PM

Puss-in-Boots! lol But that's not quite the same thing as "cat boots," just as frog-in-boots (or "frog of the boots") would not be the same as "frog(-like) boots?"

No, I think I have only seen the first Shrek film, so I have not seen this cat, but I remember the story from my childhood. Do you know the traditional fairy tale about Puss-in-Boots? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Puss_in_Boots_%28fairy_tale%29

It looks as tho' this story/image is the subject of a lot of creative interest recently! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Puss_in_Boots

José Torreszetorres Wednesday, July 2, 2008 2:03:41 PM

Yes of course I know that story! smilesmile

About Shrek...
For me Shrek is one of the best animations! Even the best! up

FrogbootsFrogBoots Wednesday, July 2, 2008 2:33:34 PM

It is terrific...but I think I like Ratatouille even more. up And the new "Wall-E" is supposed to be wonderful, so I look forward to seeing that!

José Torreszetorres Wednesday, July 2, 2008 2:40:16 PM

If you find a link tell me! wink

I never saw Ratatouille! sad

FrogbootsFrogBoots Wednesday, July 2, 2008 4:36:03 PM

I asked if you knew the Puss-in-Boots story because my impression of people my age and younger in the US is that they don't know the nursery rhymes and fairy tales that I learned and read as a child in Australia (pre-TV). My husband was only able to tell me the part of the story about the ogre turning himself into a mouse, and the cat eating him...which I'm sure is far more than the great majority could tell!

Ratatouille opened here about a year ago...I hope it's available in Europe now. I got the dvd for my daughter, son-in-law and grandson for Christmas, and they love it as much as we do: http://www.amazon.com/Ratatouille-Ian-Holm/dp/B000VBJEEG/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1215016268&sr=8-1

José Torreszetorres Wednesday, July 2, 2008 7:29:05 PM

I don't know that story with a ogre! sad

Ratatouille it seems a great animation movie! Thanks Frog! smile

FrogbootsFrogBoots Wednesday, July 2, 2008 7:57:57 PM

Well, now you know the part of the story about how the cat tricked the ogre, so his master the miller could claim the ogre's lands as his own! wink

I hope you will be able to enjoy Ratatouille soon! happy

José Torreszetorres Wednesday, July 2, 2008 10:09:57 PM

Yes I will see in video club! up

Do you know the old animation "Heidi"?

FrogbootsFrogBoots Wednesday, July 2, 2008 11:30:00 PM

I don't remember seeing a Heidi animation...I know the book, and I think I saw a movie with actors, tho' not sure if in a theatre or on TV. Was the animation a good one?

José Torreszetorres Thursday, July 3, 2008 11:23:54 AM
