How To Create Inline Albums

As promised earlier, I'm going to show my lovely readers how to create those funky albums in posts that I've been using recently here and over at the groups I write for. It's a surprisingly simple process yet unknown to many as it's a feature of the Opera community that hasn't been well publicised.

You can do it this way or simply upload a load of images with a post while posting via e-mail. Personally I recommend doing it manually as you get a lot more control over the finished album (plus the e-mail blogging system keeps going down without warning), and that's the process I'll be showing you here. But a tutorial can be quite boring, so lets make it a bit more interesting eh?

Simple task made sound like a challenge you want to take knight up This is very useful for example on sticky post where you want to show your last pictures taken. When you arrange pictures in 'last uploads first' order (as mentioned on tutorial), then you don't have to update the picture(s) on that sticky post.

The sticky post album is a pretty cool idea. Of course, you'd be limited to one increasingly cramped album (unless you swapped the album out every month or so) but it could work really well. Not my style of course, but I can see already how nice it'd look.

Yes, Kitty, but now we know his appearance changes when he sits by the computer. Its... erm... interesting for us to know that his head turns into a balloon shaped ball and his arms get really thin... Don't you think so? Mind, he does have an impressive set of teeth.

By the way, with the referation to a category I suggest you are referring to a menu bar that is supposed to be on the top of your posts. I don't see this. Just off record, in case you need to adjust your settings. Im on Chrome right now.

I've noticed that recently your page have become more digestible to my phone (android/opera mini). Can't tell why, but it loads better and 'fills out', if you know what I mean.

I just made my own menu and about page, partially inspired what you have done here Furie, Except I used "top custom menu" to give link to "menu", "blog" and "Photos".

I complained very loudly to the team that, for a company all about opening the web up to everyone, they're not very good at following web standards which I use to create this page.

I'm still working on a fully optimised version of this page written from the ground up with whole new coding. It should be a bit more future-proof and have less bits of patched over code in it.

I got rid of my menu when I saw how much room it was taking up just to be able to link back to the main page. My rewrite of this page will bring it back but I'm still figuring out how best to do that. I'm also changing the title in my sticky post to an image to really make it pop a bit more.

I noticed you also had to do a lot of hiding contents. One option is to give up on the whole about page, especially since you already have kind of intro page.

But yeah, I hate when these kind of changes done, and even without any notice in beforehand.

Yeah, I'm considering leaving this as just a blog and linking off site to other things to fill in where they've made this fail. Of course that is the complete opposite of what they wanted when doing this, but that's how things go.
