Oh, please! On the Sunday after she died I had already heard so many of her songs on the radio that it seemed to be an "all Whitney, all day long" radio station - more than one, ad nauseum. If I never hear one of her songs on the radio, it'll be all to soon! I even posted as such on that other site that doesn't agree with Opera... whistle The woman took her Furie given talent and threw it away. What a waste! Meanwhile, when Etta James died it was barely a one line obit on the boob tube! irked Grrrr!

ok i didn't even know her but now i do... whistle

Yeah , well - there's still a huge fortune to be made out of her demise - of course the attention seekers, fan machines, legal firms and recording companies are gonna milk her death for all it's worth.

I wonder if there'll be some (highly publicized as usual) family bickering about her estate - there's bound to be shedloads of million dollar 'The Whitney I knew' articles and interviews...

The Daily News had a story about a 19 year old from Durban who's Facebook page was inundated with condolence messages. left .
Her name is, yes you guessed it, Whitney Houston. p

you guys feel a "the lost songs of whitney" album surfacing any day now?
I bet it'll be something like "pussy money weed" bigsmile

KittyliciousZaphira Tuesday, February 21, 2012 8:34:28 PM

A saint... yeah, those were the days. rolleyes

FlaRin Tuesday, February 21, 2012 8:46:04 PM

The lost songs...yeah, that's always a good one. 'Previously unreleased'...meaning they were too crap to include on any of the albums. But lo - now they are reborn as undiscovered gems, miracles of talent hiding in Sony's vaults, each to be included (singly) on a number of remastered and re released old albums that were, prior to last weekend, available for $9.99 in the budget section of your local record store (along with 'Party Hits of the 80s', and suchlike).

They already raised the price of her albums by an average of 60% within an hour of her death. People who had no interest in Whitney Houston until she died were most upset that they would have to pay more for an album they're only getting to look like they were into her before she died. Hipster Grief ruled the day almost as much as that of her actual fans.

In other news Bobby Brown, the guy who was married to her for a while, beat the shite out of her and got her addicted to coke, gave an emotional farewell on stage and cried, causing his fans to rise up and defend him as someone who'll "always love her" in a spectacularly sickening piece of ignoring history.
