No More Friends

,

Notice something about the photo? No? No? Oh you there with your hand up. Yes, you can go to the toilet. :irked: Anyone else? Ah you at the back. Yes, that's right, it doesn't have the friends notification on it.

I know a lot of people don't like things like that on their pages so I've put together a CSS file to get rid of them. Simply add the following line to your CSS in order to remove the more annoying social networking elements from your pages:

@import url(http://files.myopera.com/Furie/themes/nosocial.css);

I'll be updating this file with other annoying social networking features as they're released.

New Phone Theme

, ,

Well, I finally got around to redesigning my phone theme.

It should be a little easier to load now and less oppressive to browsers. Give the page a reload and let me know. I've got the code ready to edit so feel free to give suggestions. And no, IE users still can't see the page the way it was designed to be viewed, despite the code being good, even after their recent update to the browser. Arseholes.

Mobile CSS Validation

:sing:

Nobody does it better!
Makes me feel sad for the rest.
Nobody does it quite as good as me!
Baby, I'm the best!

Oh, hi there, where'd you come from? Come on in then. Are you sitting comfortably? Then I'll begin...

I'm a bit ahead of the crowd when it comes to using my mobile phone. What I've been doing with mine for quite a while, the rest of the world eventually catches on to and starts doing themselves. Now don't misunderstand me, I'm not exactly using this thing to hack NASA (mostly because they know my numbers) but I'm certainly ahead of the pack so here's a little tip for those who have recently started trying out something I've been doing for a while now.

CSS, customizing your web page. I was told for ages that it's impossible to do from a phone yet here I am, repeatedly doing just that. The thing is, you can't see exactly how something will turn out from your mobile so you have to trust in your code, know that you haven't made any mistakes and that good web browsers will show your work exactly the way you intend. And so you validate it (mostly so you can blame someone's crap browser for problems by pointing out that your code is flawless), but that involves loading a web page, entering the address of your code, selecting the right options and loading another page just to see what errors you've made. That's a lot of steps and a lot of loading to be done from a phone, even using Opera Mini. So lets skip some of them.

From now on all you have to do is enter the address of the CSS file into your new search bar and it'll be validated. Cool eh? Now, if you'll excuse me...
