I'm in pain and feeling melancholy. Feel like I haven't slept in years and my body and mind are both punishing me for it.
We've just watched Bender's Big Score. A triumphant return for Futurama I reckon. In some ways it didn't seem quite as funny as the old ones, but I think it's one of those that'll grow on us as we notice new things we missed last watch. That's the thing with made for DVD shows - they put in visual gags you may miss the first time but catch later on.
I'm lying here at the moment listening to old Bon Jovi songs and trying to relax. I remember a dream I had about Bon Jovi once. In it my friend had an incurable new disease and was dying. His photo was in the paper and standing at the front of the photo was Jon Bon Jovi. If you've ever bought a Bon Jovi album you'll see him at the front of each cover image. We used to joke that it was his hand at the top in the Keep The Faith cover image.
Oh well, I'm rambling now. Promise you all a proper post tomorrow, but it may be late cause we're having an early roast tomorrow for lunch and there's a lot of prep to do.

Dying painfully.
Today we went over to Leicester to put our names on the waiting list for the place we want. It all went off without any major problems, but on the train journey over we were cramped into the space between carriages because there were no seats. The problem with that is that, due to the damage done to my back a few years back, I have to shift position quite often else I start seizing up. Being stuck standing and right up against a wall started hurting by the time we'd gotten there and by the time we were done getting our names on the waiting list, I had a major headache.
Still, in order to celebrate, we had a little retail party in Zavvi. That's the new name for Virgin Megastores by the way. We bought Frasier season 3, the special edition of Family Guy Blue Harvest (with a sexy t-shirt as an added bonus), My Name Is Earl season 2, Queer As Folk (so Kim can finally see it) and some american vampire detective series called Blood Ties that we had a feeling about.
At this moment I'm finally fully relaxed on my bed. My head has finally stopped aching, and I no longer want to saw my feet off with a rusty hand rolled cigarette. I'm chilled and happy . And for the first time in a while I can see a very bright future actually coming into reach.
Laters guys and gals.

game, twitter, mobile technology
At the moment I'm chilling out with a smoke and a can of V while Kim rocks Tenacious D on Guitar Hero 3. Great game. We haven't bought it before cause it's so damned expensive with a guitar and can't be played without. Yesterday we found it on PS2 with a guitar for £48 at Woolworths. It wasn't even out on the shelves so if you're looking for it, ask at the counter.
Apart from that I've been testing some new mobile applications out. They're both betas but that's where the difference ends. One is highly polished, the other still belongs in it's alpha testing phase as far as I'm concerned. It appeals to my sense of irony that it's the big company that has the worst product at this stage, especially as it's a beta of the third version of their Yahoo GO! Mobile symbian application.

Strangely, until I deleted this application, every image I had in my phone showed up as a horse in it's thumbnail version. Yeah, thanks for the weirdness Yahoo. Surely the constant connection problems on your application were enough?
On the flipside of the coin we have EQO, who have just released the first beta of their new symbian messenger. Anyone who's played with the java version of EQO knows that it's a great messenger if a little cheeky about loading all your contacts into the application to help you with it's VOIP functionality.

The symbian application continues this tradition and, although this beta is missing the VOIP functionality, as a free messenger it can't be beaten. The only bug I found in it turned out to be a problem on my friend's end (seriously, who stays logged into MSN for a week?). Highly recommended. Get it here.

I'm wishing we'd never ordered those phones. You see, there's only one thing worse than knowing you'll never get something you really want. And that's knowing you will get it but you've got to wait for it. Everything slows down the closer you get to the event. Everything becomes less and less interesting. Things you'd be ecstatic to do normally seem like chores.
Last we heard the phones were loaded onto the truck at midnight. Now we're just waiting for them. Don't know when they'll arrive so we have to wait in until they do which makes it even harder.
To make things worse this place is slow as hell today. I woke up with a massive 13 new. That's about twice what I've had the past two weeks. Having said that I've just noticed my visitors are nearing another milestone so I'll keep my eye on that.

I'm wondering if, after 9 months and two days, I'm all blogged out. I still enjoy it here but I don't post half as much as I'd like to and recently I've found myself just marking my watched items as read instead of actually going there and joining in. I dunno, it's probably the transition from having access to a PC to being back on my phone. Everything seems a little slower. Plus Opera keeps gaining new problems that are particularly hard on us phonies.
There's also the fact that we've got our Xbox now so we've got a bit more to entertain us than usual. Hell, including books, dvds and games I've got enough to keep me off here for a few straight weeks. That's not counting the fact that Kim's a bigger part of my life than all those put together. Guess you wouldn't know that from this page eh? I rarely post about personal stuff. It's just the way I am.
I suppose this post is half explanation and half apology for not being around as much recently. I think my posting style has matured a bit though. I'm trying to make them a bit meatier so to speak. Add relevant images and links. So that means they take longer to prepare. I think I'll probably start doing something like Tils does, with a post every day for my regular readers, and work on bigger stuff in the background. Or maybe in a couple of days I'll revert to how I used to be. Never can tell eh?

I'm sitting here gobsmacked. It's not often that a bit of mobile phone related news goes unnoticed by me (at least for my own country), and even when it does happen it's usually just little things like product name changes or release dates brought forward. So imagine my surprise when I found this...
The N-Gage application is the heart of the N-Gage experience. Once installed, you'll be able to download, try, and buy our exceptional games, share the fun with friends, and stay in touch with your gaming life, all from one place on your device.
Once the N-Gage experience goes live towards the end of 2007, the free N-Gage application will be available for download from the N-Gage.com mobile or PC website. Be sure to sign up for launch notification.
Future N-Gage compatible devices will have the N-Gage application pre-installed and ready to play straight out of the box.
Last I'd heard the N-Gage was a failed gaming device/phone that Nokia released a while back. Now they're turning it into a downloadable gaming platform for their series 60 3rd edition phones. So far it's just the N-series phones that have been confirmed as being compatible, but they've already started work on getting others working too.
I've just registered Furie as a player name for when I upgrade to s60, so I'll see you all on the high score charts some time next year.

As I'm sure my friend's have heard I've had a shitty day. I started the day by finding one of our housemates stealing from us. Having confronted him about several different things before and always getting half-hearted bullshit apologies, I blew my top and had to resort to violence.
I was holding him one handed by his throat (actually his windpipe with my fingers digging in) and lifting him off the floor and up against the wall. It's been so long since I've met someone stupid enough to force me to be violent that I'd forgotten just how good it feels.
Kim's never seen me like that before and part of me's worried that it's damaged our relationship in some way. She says it hasn't, but I know how my face looks when I'm like that. It's scared more than a few friends and girlfriends away before. It's worrying me even though I know it shouldn't.
