What The Hell Is Going On With My Stats?

There's something really strange going on with my visitor statistics recently.

The past two or three days Opera has reported that I've had over a thousand unique visitors each day. Hitslink on the other hand is telling me I'm getting about three hundred unique visitors per day. And my comments tell me a different story, with about ten unique visitors per day at most.

What the hell, man? Anyone else getting conflicting reports?

You can't count on the comments, I am sure you've got a lot of readers who never comment, just like I do - both from the community and from the world outside. I haven't noticed what you describe, but I haven't had my eye on the counters lately.

I've had the opposite.

My hits according to Hitslink have gone through the roof (relatively speaking) these last few days.

pssst It turns out that those in the year below me have been given an assignment recently. Hitslink is now full of hits, from inside and outside the university, searching for the exact question that I got this time last year for that module. faint
Curse the lecturers for recycling their assignment questions. irked

Yet despite this sudden surge in popularity, as Google has fooled them all into expecting me to have the answer to their assignment bomb, My Opera says that my number of visitors is virtually stagnant. confused

About 50 unique visitors per day - nothing has changed for almost a year now. No one likes my posts cry

I like your posts. They're about the largest I'm willing to wade through on my phone. up Don't believe everything your stats tell you. I know firsthand that listening solely to Opera can make you believe that you're getting minus visitors each day, as mine started going down for a while. irked.

This is the day of the flood eh Clint. Dennis, Tils, you. Hmmm, for once not me. I'll try harder.

Annoying thing about this is my image service has been down for a few days too. And now it's up and running again my uploader has died. The web hates me today.

I get almost no visits at all.I've got 1200 visits till now according to the Opera stats.Since the new OC is launched I can't upload images into my albums.

The more you post the more you'll get. I'm a daily poster which means I'm more likely to pick up a new follower or two with each post. You want some real stats, divide your visitors according to Opera by the amount of posts you've made and I'll bet most of you are beating me.

Also I've taken measures to offer my page to people who don't visit here, like with my Widsets widget for example.

Seriously. Only taking Opera stats and dividing posts made by visitors I've only had 50.

The Hitslink here is a goofball. I've contacted them two or 3 times about erroneous ISP addresses, missing 6 hr blocks of time & visitors etc..
Opera's recorded stats are way too low. Isn't there an option to browse anonymously in the set ups - but my Hitcountr and flagcounter catches those.
I've seen members in Hitslinks figures, but not showing up as recent visitor photos.
My biggest visitors are the T-mobile admin at Beckton, Buxton, Kieghthly, Birmingham etc.. LOL.

Not admin. The T-Mobile visitors you're getting are simply people using T-Mobile. I'll drop by your page in a moment so you can see. The IP address is the server and the location is just where the server is.

Nah, you showed up as a normal T-mobile user, directed from this blog.
The T-mobile admin show up as ME, with the 53north icon. ! LOL. I think they get bored and surf the net, I know they do.
I once set out to see how many extreme porno pics of a certain genre I could find. On calling O2 to update my internet packet, the guy nearly fell of his chair at the other end of the phone when he saw what I was engaged in surfing for.. LOL. Then proceeded to try and admonish me!
It's definately T-mob admin and the like.

I remember that my Opera count took about a month to show any visitors despite the Recent Visitors and a couple of comments. It's just weird.
