Two, Five, Zero.

Three little numbers. In two days time I've been here for two years. Five - the total amount of visitors I thought I'd get when I first came here. I didn't really understand how blogging worked, and I guess we all reckon we'll only get five visitors eh? Zero is the amount of subjects I thought I'd have to talk about after making that first tentative post. Two, five, zero. Three little numbers.


Today, as mentioned earlier, I'm just two days away from celebrating two years on this site. I'm also celebrating The Dark Furie entering the top 250 most visited blogs here out of 2,126,258 current members. As thanks to everyone that has visited and gotten me this far, all drinks are on me (cyber-drinks only, this piece of text has no monetary value - this is not a cheque, this is not a cheque, no monetary value, no monetary value) tonight and the music will go on until someone plays MC Hammer and gets thrown out the window. Hope you all enjoy the party.

I'd probably be higher if I still posted once a week rather than once a month now.

I'm surprised you're not higher than you are, actually. I wonder if those on the first page constantly check nervously to see if they're still there :sherlock:. Most seem dull to me :zzz:

It's a pretty sad state of affairs when you think about it, really. Once you're on the front page of most visited you never have to bother posting again as people will see that your page is that popular and visit to see what the fuss is about. Give me two more years and I'll concentrate on comments elsewhere rather than posting. :lol: As long as I (or someone at least) lead the mobile charge into the top slots to prove it can be done, my "work" here will be complete. :happy:

Actually the guy who set up his own self hosted wordpress blog solely from Opera Mini 3 is way better than me. p: I give credit where credit is due, as long as I'm interested enough to want to give credit. For example, I'm most jealous of Darko's writing skills at the moment for a post he wrote that was just so... Well to be honest I don't even know the word for it. Honest I guess. Emotional? Open? Whatever it was, it was something I've never been able to attain with my own personal posts and it blew me away when I read it. What so many take for ego and arrogance is merely my way of telling the world that they can do better and I believe in them.

As for moblogging information, tomorrow's post is about the Holy Grail of Opera Mini ( NOT FLASH! :knight: ) and how to achieve it. It's something I've been testing out recently that brings us closer to PC users in terms of functionality and I guarantee anyone who uses a mobile browser will want to read it.

I don`t always comment on all of your posts, mostly because I am PC user and mobile blogging is not area. But be sure that I read every one of them.

Kiran, does it really matter what I think? Really and truly? Your page is what you put into it and what you get out of it. If you aim to change the world, educating one single person about something they weren't aware of (like I wasn't aware of the emphasis Indians put on words in your english language post) accomplishes that. If you aim to make friends, finding one like-minded person accomplishes that. Are you happy with the things you write? Are you happy with the comments you get? In short, the question is do YOU think you have the capability to write a good blog? Cause no-one elses opinion really matters.

Darko, you almost had me all girly and emotional. :left: My personal posts end up as lists of what I've done or turn out more like my planned posts. The ability you showed in that post is something I lack. I don't always comment either (normally because my comments can easily become too jokey/preachy and kill a good post) but I try to read everything on my watchlist.

I don't know if it's friends only Dennis. Make a new friend then come back and follow the link to see. :up:.

:yes: As long as you're honest with yourself the visitors will come sooner or later. If you only have one regular visitor then you're doing something right.

Got that right.. I remember you commenting on one of my earliest posts when i redid my blog.. After that visitors came more often as normally I'd've given up if no-one was interested.. Carved my little niche from there and I can only hope to be a fraction as good as some here :D
