The Dark Furie

Fable III - Never Gonna Give You Up

,

So, Fable 3 has had it's trailer and some game play revealed. In this game, due towards the end of 2010, you play someone fed up of the injustices of the world and out to remove a tyrant king from power. Unfortunately the game will continue with you in power once you've killed the tyrant, and you'll find out that there are reasons why some of these injustices had to happen. Make promises to allies on your rise to power and you'll have to keep those promises when you're the ruler of Albion. Yes you may well think you can do a better job of ruling the land but given a choice between spending money eradicating poverty or spending money building your army to take over lands which will you choose? Add the fact that your family will be after a bigger and better castle to live in, groups that are annoyed with your rule will try to overthrow you, and that there's only so much money coming in from taxes and you'll soon wonder how the tyrant did such a good job.

I'd show you guys the trailer but all I keep finding online is these, which is pretty fitting considering what today is.

By the way, did I mention that it's One Hit Wonder day, where we celebrate all those singers and bands that dropped a song and never showed up in the charts again?

ANNOYANCE!! This fucking thing is really starting to piss me off!

Moesring 25. September 2009, 11:41

Could it be another YouTube prank? Apparently on April Fools Day, YouTube videos were flipped vertically (so the top was at the bottom, and vice versa).

Could it be something like that - YouTube swapping some videos with that annoying one?

What about Theresa? Does she make an appearance to explain why she wanted control of the spire?

Furie 25. September 2009, 11:59

Nope, it's just the thing that lesser minds do to annoy others. You see, these tiny brained fools believe they're being original by putting these things up instead, just like every other small-minded fool is doing.

As for Fable 3, what I said in the post is pretty much all that's known so far. There are a couple of new features to the game that make it more immersive. Hopefully it'll be better than the last one.

People were doing this with Supernatural season 5 trailers too :irked:

garlingmatthews 25. September 2009, 14:38

That sounds like a cool game.

Still not getting updated when you post. Grr.

Furie 25. September 2009, 15:17

Really? A lot of people have that problem here. I'm mostly a daily poster though so just drop by whenever. :D

Moesring 25. September 2009, 16:03

Making me unedit my comment above because you responded to something that I'd retracted. :irked:P:

Hopefully it'll be better than the last one.

Plus one to that.

Theresa is in the trailer. Also at the end of the See The Future DLC she explains that she's always seen whispers of the possible futures, but that the Spire allows her to see the full future that will definitely happen.

I didn't watch the trailer, but I suspect rickrolling...?
For your sake that song better disappear from my head asap!

So you kick out bad and then you become the bad guy+ ? :left:.
Sounds like South African politics to me! p:.

Furie 28. September 2009, 10:43

More like you find out that the bad guy you're overthrowing wasn't making black and white choices.

You'll have limited money coming in from taxes (say 10 grand), and it costs so much to keep your castle going (5 grand), so much to help out each faction (5 grand each), so much to conquer new lands (20 grand worth of soldiers), etc etc. Do you help out one faction and keep your castle okay, skimp on yourself and help out two factions, save up for war so you can have more taxes coming in, or raise taxes in your land?

If you do go to war, whether to conquer new land or because your allies have become your enemies, do you go in with just soldiers, lead the soldiers yourself, or add some war machines to the mix for an easier time of it. Of course, war machines mean you'll have to industrialise some of your land, taking it further from the lush green paradise that it was. And industrialisation costs money too of course so...

Yeah, ruling isn't all about black and white choices at all.

garlingmatthews 28. September 2009, 12:05

Not if you have a good government, anyway. If you're Margaret Thatcher, the world is much simpler.

Furie 28. September 2009, 12:09

B...b...but, I don't want to screw my miners. awww

garlingmatthews 28. September 2009, 12:13

Screw Margaret instead... erm... that came out wrong.

Furie 28. September 2009, 12:22

Feel free.

garlingmatthews 28. September 2009, 12:25
