Widget Shall We Three Meet Again

I've been working on this web runtime widget for my page for a little while now and, when I got my i8910 HD, I finally had a web runtime enabled phone to test it out on. For a less than 20KB download I'm quite impressed with how it turned out, especially as I couldn't get the feed reader working properly at the start. Obviously that's kind of a problem so I decided instead to make the widget a site launcher which loads up a mobile optimised version of this page, complete with resized images and video embeds transformed into mobile friendly downloads.

As the widget launches a site instead of containing the styling and details itself, it can be configured directly from my device with no new downloads needed, even allowing me to change the site that the widget feeds from. Sharing options are included at the bottom of each post with the ability to bookmark to del.icio.us, send via e-mail or tweet the link to the post on your Twitter account, and there's a link to the full version of the post should you wish to see the styling or comment. All in all the widget and site working together are lighter and more capable than the widget alone would be.

:sst: You know, that link to your widget points to a page that doesn't exist. :left: At least, it won't let me get to it. awww

Thanks for the info Moe, I forgot to change the link in the post when I changed the icon for the widget and reuploaded. It should work now.

Took me forever Doc. I also had a version for use on the Samsung Touchwiz system but hadn't finished it when the phone died. With no backups I'm starting that from scratch when I get the phone back. After that I'll work on an Opera Widgets version.

Doesn't work on my phone. I guess I'll have to wait for the Opera Widgets version.

The majority of the work is done by the mobile site if you want to check it out. The widgets are just site launchers with easy placement on phones.
