Tweetbanned.

Twitter has banned the quickly rising account @tweetbomb, leading to a huge outcry amongst users. Tweetbomb would instruct it's followers to join in every day at 3:30 PM (EST) and 'bomb' another twitter user, by sending blank @ replies. This did no harm, and every user that was tweetbombed enjoyed the experience, and found it amusing. Many gained followers from it. Unfortunately, Twitter seems to find some sort of problem with this totally awesome past time. In retaliation of the ban, the owner of @tweetbom has set up @tweetban, urging users to spread the word and support the return of Tweetbomb. Many users, such as myself, are even changing their Twitter layouts to in a show of support.

If you have a twitter account, follow @tweetban, and help get @tweetbomb back.

It was ridiculous of them to ban the account. Let's hope it was a 'bot' and not a Twitter employee that did it. I would hate to think Twitter would ruin something that was catching on so quickly and not doing harm to anyone.
