Wiggedy Wiggedy Washington Wrap-Up

Early Sunday morning (around 12:30 AM), I returned to Rhode Island after a week long vacation to Washington. I was visiting some family with my mother and my sister, and it was the first time flying for all of us. I found out that I while I enjoy flying, I hate airports. The first take-off I was definitely white-knuckling it, but then it wasn't that bad. I got a lot of sleeping done on all the flights, so it went by really quickly.

Seeing and spending time with my cousins was so rad. The first few days we were out there we mainly just stayed at home and enjoyed hanging out. Basically we're exactly the same, my cousin Kailei and I are like the same person, and my cousin Rush and my sister are also just a like. It was sort of spooky, yet awesome at the same time. They live within walking distance to a Starbucks, so needless to say I made a daily trip to get my crack fix.

My aforementioned cousin Kailei is a part of some choirs at her school, so one night we went to one of her concerts. It felt weird being in a school cafeteria again, never mind one where I didn't know any of the students. But it was very nice and they did a good job with it.

Another night, we watched Iron Man on Blu-Ray in HD. It. Was. GLORIOUS.

One day we got the idea to get tacos. Then we decided to turn it into an adventure. So my cousin dressed me up as The Crow. It was creepy, awesome, and hilarious. I acted angry and bitter towards the world, and the people at Taco Bell totally bought it. Which was awesome.

Another night, I went to a Kamelot show with my uncle and cousin Kailei. I don't normally listen to metal, and I had never been to a concert before in my life, but it was a really cool night and I had a great time.

Our last day in the state we made the short trip into Seattle. We went all over Pike Place Market (which is really cool by the way, you should go sometime), and I got to stop in the original Starbucks. It was so cool. But the day started out crappy because I dropped (and lost) my cell phone. I eventually got it back, thanks to some nice people who found it. Big thank you to them.

On our flight home, we were supposed to have two layovers, one in Chicago, and one in Charlotte (North Carolina). Unfortunately, the airline messed up, and we missed our flight out out of Chicago.. So we had to take a later flight, and spent nine hours stuck in O'Hare. It was very boring, and by the end of it I was very happy to leave, and hoped to never see that airport again. It's very nice, but nine hours is way too much. It turned out to be a good thing that we missed our flight, because then we would have had to fly through a storm. We caught the end of it on our return flight, and I know it would have sucked to have to fly through the bulk of that thing. I never get motion sickness, but I almost blew chunks during the landing. Nevertheless, it was good to be home.

But it sucked to leave. I had such a blast out there, and iot was so great to see the family again after all those years. Yay family!

Taco Fun.

I'm having a great time out here in the greater Seattle, WA area. My cousins and I (and my sister, I guess) are all just alike, and I have loved every minute of it out here. Guess where I'm going to live someday? Out here. It's awesome. Everything is so much fun.

I snapped this photo while walking to Starbucks one morning. Someone has a great sense of humor and a white pen. They are basically my hero.

Last night, I had Taco bell for the first time ever. We have one back home, but it looks nasty. This one was a KFC and Taco Bell combined, so it had some class. But that's not what is memorable about that night. (Read More!)

Flight Worries.

I'm flying tomorrow. IN A PLANE. Across the country. To Seattle. All right. Enough with the sentence fragments.

I'm sort of nervous, as I have never flown in a plane before, or even been in an airport. I know it will be interesting, and fun, but I have OCD, so I think too much. So here are the things I am most worrying about:

Plane crash.
Yeah, I know that's incredibly obvious, and we'll be fine, and blah blah freaking blah. But you all know the feeling and reasoning behind this. There is NOTHING holding that plane up in the air besides magic, and I don't trust the pilot's enchantments. I mean, I don't know if he's a credible wizard! He probably won't even have a certificate to prove it or something.

Hijacking.
This is what 9/11 has done. I am automatically going to assume that someone is going to try and hijack the plane, and I will be suspicious of everyone (even the nice old lady who can barely walk). And if the passengers try to do something heroic like on Flight 93, and I'll have to help. I would too, because if we somehow survived and I didn't help, I would feel incredibly guilty.

iPod battery dying.
Not as 'scary' as the previous things i stated, but it would make me sad. I'll have Napoleon Dynamite, Juno, and a buttload of music on there, and if that thing runs out of juice I will be incredibly bored.

At any rate, I know these things probably won't happen. But still, I can't help but think about them. I hate OCD. TOO MUCH THINKING.

Looking at this post, I think I overdid the images. Oh well.
