Alex Jones, Gun Rights, video
On Monday night at 9:00 PM Alex Jones appeared on CNN with Piers Morgan. It started out with Piers Morgan asking Alex Jones why he started a petition to the White House to have him deported for attacking the Second Amendment to the Constitution, and amidst Alex Jones usual rants about his conspiracy theories, devolved into an argument on Gun Control. Admittedly, I have not watched much of the video of the interview, however
Alex Jones has admitted that his refusal to stick to CNN's script actually caused one of Piers Morgan's producers to burst into tears. Apparently Alex Jones
has become the #1 'Trend' on Twitter since Monday night's interview, and you can watch the entire thing as it was aired in two parts below:

NDAA, Rand Paul
As many of you may know, the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) of 2011, that was signed into law secretly by President Obama on New Year's Eve
[1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7], has provisions in it that allow the military to arrest any American citizen and hold them indefinitely, without a trial and without legal counsel, simply for suspecting that they might sympathize with al-Qaeda. No proof ever needs to be presented that an American citizen has any connection to a terrorist organization, and the military would be allowed to take any American citizens that they arrest under this provision of the NDAA to a military prison in another country (such as Guantanamo Bay), where the military and other U.S. intelligence services would (at least in theory) then be free to torture American citizens indefinitely, once again without any proof that they did anything wrong. As some of you may also know, John McCain was one of two Republicans who sponsored the amendment that added that provision to the NDAA in 2011.
An amendment to this year's NDAA that was supposedly going to protect an American citizen's right to trial by jury has been stripped from the NDAA by the NDAA conference committee (which is led by Senator Jon McCain). You can read more about this issue in the forum of a news article that was sent out by Senator Rand Paul's office (note that both John McCain and Rand Paul are Republicans serving in the United States Senate).
