I managed to watch a lot of the mission on NASA TV. The views from the ISS were fantastic.
Then again, there were long periods of watching people staring at their computers at mission control!

My olde tv set stopped transmitting sound smile so I watch only programs with subtitles. Though on a digital cable with 100+ programs, it's quite annoying to see a picture with white horizontal stripes. I bought it, years ago, only to see Zappa's Yellow Shark that very evening. Now it's ready to be replaced with a functional set.

If you can get on a pc, you can still watch the view live from ISS at certain times at nasa.gov - if your tv has a headphone socket that may be working, but you've probably already tried that.

My notebook has an obsolete os and can't be connected to the net. I checked headphones in the socket a moment ago - no way, dead. The tv set maybe needs an educational slap smile or, more likely, to be replaced with a new one.

'Impact maintenance' rocks too! smile I think Robert Fulghum mentions somewhere in his kindergarten book that there is a tribe of Southamerican Indians who can fell a tree only by shouting at it. So, my set looks like being made in China, all I need is several juicy Chinese swearwords that I would shout at the tv set, as the last warning! Maybe it will change its stuborn mind. Or shatter to pieces bigsmile

I had to switch the beast on. There are 110 channels but none of them is Sky Arts 1. Moreover, I'm afraid there's only 1 UK channel - BBC World. There used to be many more UK channels, even the radio ones. I used to watch Saturday comedies, but the selection of channels has changed. Pity.
