Hey, I haven't been called "Dave the Sweat" since college! Does someone here speak French?? (My last name is LeSueur; la sueur is "sweat" in French.)

Just dl'd the 1940 files. Read 1941 'cause there's a thread at the forum recently. Hope everyone involved (Gary, Len, Ken, Rob, Dave) don't mind but I used that file as bait to lure anyone interested in '41 to register here at the Shack. Great Job, Ken. Really good Strat story, Rob. And thanks again Dave for putting it all together.

These files are open access, so registration to grab a package isn't needed for them. That's fine about you sharing the link for this. I hope it's helpful.

The stuff that we keep indoors in Friends Only, otoh, we don't want to advertise. Indoors we're looking for quality, not volume.

I'm just starting my 1979 replay and this is a great way to start it. Of course I had heard of the infamous Disco Demolition Night but didn't realize it was in 1979. I might have to play some classic disco music when I reach that point in the season.

One suggestion that I think would help out many people would be to include on the notes what league/division had home field advantage in the various playoff rounds.

What a gold mine! This is great, great stuff. If it were all put together in a book, it'd be a best seller without a doubt! As a child of the 60's, I started there, of course. I actually have an audio tape of the game played on moon landing day, when Perry hit his homer against the Dodgers. I was listening to it just the other night.

As always, thanks for sharing.

1987 Notes correction - Frank Viola won the Cy Young in 1988 not 1987. Great info otherwise!
