Welcome, make yourself at home...

One of my favourite albums

Sheikyerbouti by Frank Zappa With such a vast body of work to choose from (over 80 releases) it is of course difficult to pick the definitive Zappa album, but for me, this pushes all the buttons. Vicious satirising of contemporary Americana, sideswipes at the Republican party, misogyny, fluid guitar and staggering musicianship (as usual).

Highlights include: 'Broken Hearts are for Assholes' and 'Bobby Brown'

John PeelFavourite film: Betty Blue

sheik yerbouti is one of his best satiriacal albums...for sure...and the music in wild love blows me away every time, but out of my currnet collection (25 albums) its a tie between Hot Rats and Make a Jazz noise Here.

How many albums have you got?

I've got 33 by the man. Not a big fan of Hot Rats for some reason, unusual as it's the album that brought him to the notice of British audiences. My other favourites are: Overnite Sensation, Joes Garage, You Are What You Is and Shut Up and Play Yer Guitar p:
