About me

I have been fortunate enough to stand on the peak of one the highest mountains in Canada, stood 60 feet on the bottom of the ocean looking at a reef so big that you had to look from side to side and up and down to take it all in and still couldn't take everything in, travel in the rarefied atmosphere in all manner of devices more times then I can remember, drive 300 kph on the autobahn (only for a minute or so and then backed down to a respectable 280 on the A3, but I have been on all of them top to bottom side to side), done 120 mph on an antique motorcycle (scared the shit out me when the speed wobble kicked in at 105), Sailed a 20 foot cat in 30 foot swells and 80+ knot winds off of Lauderdale and got dumped on the third tack out at the second reef (that scared the shit out of me too), Schussed straight down the Holly Bowl from the peak, walked to the face of a coal mine that was 3 miles under ground and 2 miles under the ocean floor (that little trek took 5 hours from top to bottom with with only 10 minutes spent at the face and we didn't do any work! It took over a week to shake the indescribable visceral reaction of that experience - how the hell anyone did that day in and day out is beyond me - kudos to my ex father in-law and his extended family), seen ALL of Canada except the "Rock" (this year) ALL of the eastern seaboard of the U.S.A, most of the mid west, 85% of the Caribbean and 80% of Europe.

You can probably tell that I am a speed demon and that is currently being satisfied with my antique Corvette (Ok it's "slightly" modified to put out a little over 550 bhp) which will have to do for now.

I am an autodidact. I have been tested countless times throughout my life and the last test I let them do was a Stanford-Binet at the Clarke Institute (SB4 test) and they put me at 173 - my response was "and". It's not always a blessing besides I have to thank my parents - it's not something you learn rather what you are given. It appears by all accounts that it got past down to my son's.

The beautiful woman you see with me is my life partner (I have known her for 37 years but was married to someone else for 25 years before reuniting with her). Hopefully this is the last book (2 have been closed). I have 3 wonderful and incredible son's, all still in University. As they are all pursuing Doctorates in various fields (Neurology, Orthopedic and Aerospace Engineering) they will be studying another decade or so.

I am exploring this forum to meet and share ideas with people from all around the globe, young and old, men and woman.

Been to Hell and back 4 times, don't recommend the trips if you can avoid them.

I am about half way in my life journey and have a lot left to do.
