印第安纳州的一对夫妇相信Bible没有在适当的时候寻求医疗救助导致新生小孩永远离开他们，根据当地法律这对夫妇将面对一场官司，显然引起了一场风波。当时小孩的父母只是寻求教堂的长老来祈祷，他们引用bible中James 5:14-15：

I have used laptops for more than seven years and recently my AC adapter was broken.

At first I tried to buy a universal adapter to replace it and am kind of hate my adaper because of it's weight and size. After checking all the makes, i totally gave up

and ordered one from the original manufacturer. Unfortunately they can not process my order until the next business day, next Monday, that means, I can use my computer for more than 2 days!

Forgot about the sad story!!

anyway, I finally got it after my rush service request.

LP came back from Boston and I am glad she had a nice trip. Some day in the near future, we may back to eastern USA to enjoy the incredible wonderful fall season.

2005年7月17上午9：18分（美国东部时间）我们两口子从巴尔的摩（Baltimore），马里兰州（Maryland）出发，目的地是圣地亚哥（San Diego）加利福尼亚州（California）。

已经开了3整天，感觉很好；每天都醒来很早（我很久都没有这么早起了，哈哈），一般都是在当地时间7：30左右就开始新的一天旅途。

7.17 (500 miles): Maryland (马里兰), West Virginia (西弗吉尼亚), Pennsylvania (宾夕法尼亚州), Ohio(俄亥俄州)

7.18 (500 miles): Illinois (伊利诺伊州), Indiana (印第安纳州), Missouri (密苏里州) <时差1小时>

7.19 (500 miles): Oklahoma (俄克拉何马州)

7.20 (430 miles): Texas(得克萨斯), New Mexico(新墨西哥州) <时差1小时> 开在沙漠的高速上，同样的景色眼睛自然疲劳，车上新配置的MP3播放机功劳不小，跟着歌声哼唱而保持头脑的兴奋和清醒。

7.21 (360 miles): Arizona(亚利桑那州)，游玩前一天的好好休整。

7.22 (100 miles): 在Grand Canyon 游玩，记忆深刻的是人生第一次野营，很成功！很留念！下次一定还会去，哈哈。

7.23 (270 miles): 下午起身前往著名的赌城LAS VEGAS(在Nevada 内华达州)，经历了最容易开的高速和相对难度大的高速路，也碰到了唯一的路上检查站（水库要地）。在这个充满诱惑的不夜城，赌了，看了，钱花了，满足了！

7.24 (230 miles): 到达了我们的目的州，California(加利福尼亚, 加州)<时差1小时>。当天碰到了我们一路上来最坏的天气，大暴雨几乎让高速上的车流速度将到零，尽管雨刷开到最高档，还是未能看清前方。由于我们租的房子25号才能入住，就在San Bernardino住了一晚。

7.25 (120 miles): 早上就碰到了加州高速上的堵车，领略了传说中的加州阳光，并于上午10点多安全到达目的地。签定租房合同，卸下车内的行李，购置简单家具。虽然之前没有看过房子，重新装修过的一切都非常满意。晚上我们自己做了几个菜，庆祝我们的旅行计划圆满成功!!

早上9：00左右从San Diego出发，经过1个多小时的车程（今天是我目前为止开过最崎岖的公路，盘山的公路限速最低在15< /strong>MPH；返回的路上我后面的一辆车还被警察逮住，安全驾驶很重要哦！），到达我们的目的的Julian。Julian其实是一个很小的镇，听朋友说那边有著名的Apple Pie和很多很可爱的小商店；中餐当然就是Apple Pie和Coffee，还不错！但是我们是否感觉回来路上的Cuyamaca湖玩的比较尽兴，请你到我的照片中去欣赏景色。

我们环绕湖走了大约1/2或者2/3圈，看着那些在湖边和坐在自己小船垂钓的人们，听着音乐，只有两个字形容：享受！< /div>

不过，今天对我来说，也是很有意义的一天：看完自己的照片，立志要减肥了！！－－不管是多运动还是少吃一点，哈哈。

晚上，买了火锅和羊肉等材料回来跟朋友FENG好好吃了一顿；我们买太多，明天再继续吧

Main activities in a wonderful day: Reading, Walking, Shopping, Cooking, Banking, Playing.

Reading: Working on financial statements(Income sheet, balance statement, cashflow statement)and other indexes; I am truly interested in business and ready for a new business and bless myself good luck.

Walking and Shopping: Going around the closest shopping center to prepare lover's birthday present, and it was taken me more than one hour.

Cooking: Chicken, Rib, Brocoli, Salmon; We enjoyed the dishes. By the way, my cooking skill is improving and will keep going forward with my passion.

Banking: I called the Bank of America to resolve my credit card's online banking problems. I am a kind of tired with customer service phone calls which always put you wait for a long time. Fortunately I got my job done in 40 minutes, and most of time they were working with the information systems and transfered my call in different departments.

Playing: Watching TV series and making phone call with relatives.

I am so glad to see parents via webcam and had a great time to teach them using software tools.

In the morning, Feng and I went to a church for the public meeting titled "walk by faith, not by sight". Be honest, I do not truly trust in God yet and do believe some of baptised brothers and sisters are very relied on God. They have very well-organized activities all over the world, such as meeting, congregation, convention, preaching and visiting.

We had our lunch at a Chinese buffet which serves serval kinds of Chinese and Japanse food. My favorites were all kinds of shrimp dishes and meatballs.

I can not put any air into my new bike due to the small pump and was almost mad. Definitely I can not ride it for exercise.This is my saddest story ever for my brand new stuff.

The principal female character, named Elizabeth is in a coma status after one critical car accident. But her spirit come out of her physical body and go back her home, which her older sister have subletted to the principal male character, named David. The surprise is the actor and actress can see each other and communicate very well, actually at first the actor was very annoyed by her appearance and insistence of her ownership of the apartments, and David can not take a shower without underwear, it's very funny.

More and more funny things happened with the instructions of the actress, such as save a patient's life without any background of medical training, talking with her ex-colleagues and sister who the actor has never seen them before.

After the actress's coma lasted for 3 months, the hospital asked her sister to sign the paper to quit the therapy and let Elizbeth go. At this time, David was convinced by Elizbeth's spirit or ghost( David was in love with Elizbeth actually) and decide to steal her body from hospital in order to have a chance let Elizbeth spirit come back to her body. Everything just goes on perfectly with a lof of comedic scenarios and it comes to a romantic end.

A wonderful and short talk with my future professor and I took a risk to park a area required a student permit (I do leave a piece of paper with my situation: rush, 1st time visitor).

Anyway, no ticket and towing, it was great! But on my way home, I used the wrong direction in the highway

I had a nice conversation via phone with my high school classmate and she was very surprised by my guess too. Unfortunately, we can not meet in person due to the long distance; if she came three months ago, we can make it.

Most interesting thing, we got the rebate from an unreliable company that once denied our request with unreasonable reasons.

Everything you deserve should belong to you!

近日突发对宗教有些兴趣，也认真阅读了一些资料。作为一个无宗教信仰的人士，只是想更深入了解一些精神上的东西。 “道不同不相为谋”，个人认为只有精神寄托超越一切现实，信仰一致的人们才可永久舍身忘死共存一体。正好与各大宗教派别内部信徒众志成城而外部的互斥性相吻合的，本人也看过互相比较甚至攻击的文章。不过个人愚见，所谓的上帝，神，菩萨，阿拉等他们一开始就是在为自己设计好了一个理想的系统，让忠实的跟随者有很多理由来说服自己坚定个人的信仰。现在的你我，谁能目睹未来、预测未来？！话又说回来，宗教文化博大精深，专业神职人员那么多的奉献，我们还是要好好珍惜。思考中碰到的一个很现实的问题是：你先了解教义还是先一味相信？一方面，从有信仰人来的角度来说认为你要首先相信然后在深入了解，修行；一方面，从无信仰的人来看若你什么都不了解就相信，是否有点荒唐、盲从，或者说信也是半信。 “道”，我很喜欢这个字；这个“玄”能解释一切，哈哈。 P.S. 纯属个人看法，欢迎专业人士指正。life, entertainment, learing, work

基督教是公教、东正教和新教三大教派的总称。

基督教产生于1世纪的巴勒斯坦地区的犹太人社群中，135年从犹太教中分裂出来成为独立的宗教。在4世纪以前基督教是受迫害的，直到罗马帝国君士坦丁大帝发布米兰敕令宣布它为合法宗教为止。在380年时狄奥多西大帝（Theodosius I）宣布基督教为罗马帝国的国教，并且所有人都要信奉。1054年，基督教发生了大分裂，东部教会自称为正教（即东正教），西部教会称为公教（即天主教）。16世纪又从天主教中分裂出新教，以及其它许多小的教派。

耶稣(Jesus) ，耶稣是上帝耶和华之子，他出生在巴勒斯坦北部的加利利的拿撒勒，母亲名叫玛利亚，父亲叫约瑟。玛利亚未被迎娶前，圣灵降临在她身上，使她怀孕。约瑟一度想休了玛利亚，但受了天使的指示，仍把她娶了过来。耶稣三十岁时受了约翰的洗礼，又在旷野中经受了魔鬼撒旦的诱惑，这一切坚定了他对上帝的信念。此后，耶稣就率领彼得、约翰等门徒四处宣传福音。耶稣的传道引起了犹太贵族和祭司的恐慌，他们收买了耶稣的门徒犹大，把耶稣钉死在了十字架上。但三天以后，耶稣复活，向门徒和群众显现神迹，要求他们在更广泛的范围内宣讲福音。从此，信奉基督教的人越来越多，他们把基督教传播到世界各地，基督教从而成为信徒人数最多的宗教。

７世纪初叶的阿拉伯半岛中西部商业重镇麦加,先知穆罕默德以"安拉是唯一的真神"为口号，提出禁止高利贷，"施舍济贫""和平安宁"等主张，反映了当时社会的要求，伊斯兰教就是在这样一个转折的时刻诞生的。目前有信众10亿人左右，占世界总人口的1/5左右，并有40多个国家奉其位国教。

神圣《古兰经》
五信（宗教信条）：信阿拉；信天使；信经典；信先知；信后世。

五功（宗教功课）：念功；礼功；斋功；课功；朝功。
（其中礼功是一日5次日礼，每周一次的聚礼－一般在星期五，宗教节日的会礼；课功是指穆斯林个人财产达到一定数量时，就应该要交纳一种名为天课的宗教税；朝功时指到麦加圣寺内的“克尔白”）

流派：
逊尼派，全称"逊奈和大众派",被认为是伊斯兰教的正统派,人数约占全世界穆斯林的90%；
什叶派什叶派是与逊尼派、哈瓦利吉派、穆尔吉埃派并称为早期伊斯兰的四大政治派别别。"什叶"的意思为"党人"、"派别"。该派以拥护穆罕默德的堂弟、女婿阿里及其后裔担任穆斯林的首领-伊玛目为其主要特征。目前全世界约有什叶派穆斯林8000万人。主要分部在伊朗、伊拉克、巴基斯坦、印度、土耳其、阿富汗、黎巴嫩、沙特阿拉伯、也门、巴林等地区。
三大圣地：麦加，卖地那，耶路撒冷。
主要节日有开斋节（伊斯兰教历10月1日），古尔邦节（伊斯兰教历12月10日）,圣纪（穆罕默德诞辰教历3月12日）。
斋戒：每年的斋戒月份，回历的第九个月（以阴历计，而非阳历）所有的穆斯林都必须从早到晚斋戒，不能饮食，也戒房事。

清真寺：伊斯兰教反对偶像崇拜，所以清真寺内没有任何由人形和动物形组成的偶像图案。中国有两种类型的清真寺：殿堂式清真寺，阿拉伯式清真寺

当一名穆斯林，无须任何手续，也没有繁琐的仪式，只要当众口念：“我作证：万物非主，惟有真主，穆罕默德是真主的使者。”并在今后的生活中，遵守伊斯兰教义即可。

释迦牟尼当初放弃王子身份出家的目的是为了寻求解脱生老病死等痛苦之道。释迦牟尼在菩提树下思维解脱之道，终于在一个夜里，战胜了最后的烦恼魔障，获得了彻底觉悟而成了佛陀。佛教的教义简单地说来，就是说世间的苦（苦谛）和苦的原因（因谛），说苦的消灭（灭谛）和灭苦的方法（道谛）；谛即真理，四谛所依据的根本原理就是缘起论。

"缘起"即"诸法由因缘而起"。简单地说，就是一切事物或一切现象的生起，都是相待(相对)的互存关系和条件，离开关系和条件，就不能生起任何一个事物或现象。因(Hetu)、缘(Paccaya)，一般地解释，就是关系和条件。佛曾给"缘起"下了这样的定义：若此有则彼有，若此生则彼生；若此无则彼无，若此灭则彼灭。这四句就是表示同时的或者异时的互存关系。佛经中说缘起有十一个意义：1无作者义，2有因生义，3离有情义，4依他起义，5无动作义，6性无常义，7刹那灭义，8因果相续无间断义，9种种因果品类别义，10因果更互相符顺义，11因果决定无杂乱义。十一义归纳起来，有四个重要的论点：一无造物主，二无我，三无常，四因果相续。

皈依：身心归心它、依靠它；皈依三宝（佛陀是佛宝，佛所说的法是法宝，佛的出家弟子的团体--僧伽是僧宝。）的人就是佛教徒（皈依可以出家也可以不出家）

佛教的两大宗派：大乘Mahāyāna和小乘Hīnayāna。大小乘的分别，主要在于大乘着重利他利益大众的行为，小乘着重自己解脱。

关键字：菩萨、六度（字义是“到彼岸”，从烦恼的此岸到觉悟的彼岸）、四摄、丛林清规。

“色不异空，空不异色”：色是缘起所起，色法上不能有个不变的实性，所以说“色即是空”；唯其没有实性，所以能遇缘即起，所以说“空即是色”。

佛经：经、律、论为三藏Tipitaka。藏的原语Pitaka，是一种可以盛放东西的竹箧。把经、律、论分为三藏，同我国把经、史、子、集分为四库有差不多的意思。

大乘经典特别称道文殊师利的大智、普贤的大行、观世音的大悲、地藏的大愿，所以这四大菩萨特别受到教徒的崇敬。我国五台山被认为是文殊师利的道场，峨嵋山是普贤的道场，普陀山是观世音的道场，九华山是地藏的道场，称为四大名山，由此可以看出四大菩萨在中国佛教徒心目中的重要地位。

中国的佛教三大系：汉传佛教；藏传佛教；南传佛教；不同的系又有不同的宗派。汉传佛教主要宗派：天台宗、三论宗、法相宗、律宗、净土宗、禅宗、华严宗、密宗。
佛陀诞辰（农历四月初八）、成道日（农历腊月初八）、涅槃日（农历二月十五日）皆为佛教重要节日，其中以佛陀诞日最为重要。此外，观音和地藏菩萨在汉地民间信仰颇盛，每逢传说中两菩萨的诞辰等节日，亦多举行佛事活动。life, entertainment, learing, work

道教（Taoism）

中国土生土长的传统宗教，用神仙的不死之道来教化信仰者，劝人通过养生修炼和道德品行的修养而长生成仙，最终解脱死亡，求得永恒。

老子－《道德经》：信仰“道”，道是“虚无之系,造化之根,神明之本,天地之元”,“万象以之生,五行以之成”,也就是说,宇宙、阴阳、万物都是由它化生的。同时，信仰“道”相信人可以长生不死，修道可以成仙（或神仙）。

主要派别：全真派和正一派

道士－道教的专业神职人员，献身道教，出来自己修炼以外，还要指导一般信徒、信众。他们有很高的素质，包括道德规范，主要是遵守道戒；而且道阶不同，严格程度不同的戒律；一般是道阶越高，戒律越严。(全真道士)

在万物中，除了人居住的世界外，还有神仙居住的所谓十大洞天，三十六小洞天和七十二福地。道化为三种气，再化成三位至高无上的神：元始天尊、灵宝天尊和道德天尊。道教还信奉诸多的神：三官、四御、玉皇大帝、王母娘娘、城隍、土地、灶君、门神等等。

截止1999年，大陆地区开放的宫观1600余处（比如北京白云观、四川青城山，江西龙虎山），县以上地方道协组织133个，全真、正一乾坤道25000余人；中国道教学院，学制2年，分专修班和进修班；专修班培养宫观管理人才，进修班主要培养教学、研究人才。
