Wikipedia is a great place to start, people whom dedicate them self´s to sharing their knowledge are trustworthy, it´s as simple as that.

Anyone can be unspecific or inaccurate but wikipedia have established good systems to compensate for lack of scientific experience or verbal excellence, and there are at least 6 billion ways to observe the world and the truth.

True searchers and and constructive humans acknowledges this, and can contribute to a better world trough reading and writing at wikipedia.
