Thx, Vgn!

An indication of how much I use my mobile phone: the £20 call credit I got with the phone on the 26th August has only just run out today...9 weeks and 4 days later.

This cheapness pleases my thrifty soul. As does Virgin texting me to say I now have Free texts [to all UK networks] all weekend thanks to my top-up! Hurrah! :D

wow that is indeed impressive! :eyes: I thought I didn't use my mobile much!
A tenner usually lasts me a month of text messages.

Nice new banner, dude. Very blue. Won't report back to your dad though. :D

GrantTLC 7. November 2008, 08:37

Yes, the blue is much better than the previous red/orange/yellow. And thanks, the less my Dad knows the happier I am. :D

Kirstycat - I seem to do all my interaction online these days. Facebook, blogs, email, messenger...the ol' mobile telephone rarely gets a look in, being mostly reserved for texting gooey messages to my sweetheart. :o:

I have to say my O2 deal is pretty impressive, 1000 free texts and 400 minutes free call time for £30 a month plus a free phone!         :coffee: :sing: :spock:

what more could you want?

GrantTLC 7. November 2008, 11:42

Free cinema tickets on Saturdays? p:

GoldBug 7. November 2008, 11:45

I do miss free cinema tickets that I used to get with Orange pay as you go, but O2 I am happy with!

kirstycat 7. November 2008, 12:12

Week days are the best nights to go to the cinema I think...no noisy brats and lots of choice of seats!
Even better...in the middle of the day on a weekday  It feels a bit decadent and naughty going into the cinema at that time! I like coming out afterwards to find there is still daylight too.

Mark Millar on His 8-Hour Superman Epic
Source:Empire Online, Ken October 29, 2008

Empire Online talked to Mark Millar (Wanted, upcoming Kick-Ass) more about his proposed "Superman" epic. Here are several clips from the article:

Mark has been working closely with a 'big-Hollywood action director' – who he refuses to name at this stage – on a pitch for what he is calling the Magnum Opus of Superman stories. His idea is for an 8-hour saga, split into 3 films to be released a year apart, in a Lord of the Rings fashion.

"I want to start on Krypton, a thousand years ago, and end with Superman alone on Planet Earth, the last being left on the planet, as the yellow sun turns red and starts to supernova, and he loses his powers."

You can read the entire interview here.

So I'm not the only one. I can get $30 to last me 6 months (or more!)
