My OperaBad Poetry for the Easter Break

It's time for a holiday, Easter has come!
How can you tell? You can't see the sun!
Utterly typical, happens without fail
"You've got time off?? HAVE WIND AND HAIL!!!"
But I work in Scotland, so double my pain:
Eng-land-shire has won out again!
They take today off; 4-days ad hoc!
I'm stuck at my desk, watching the clock.
No emails to check, just sit and work quiet.
You think this is fun? Wait 'til you try it!
On the other hand, no constant phone ringing
Think of it that way! I should be singing!
At least I get Monday, that should be enough
Another whole day for me to...do stuff.
I honestly wish I'd seen Easter coming,
I have no plans, other than slumming.
It's not too late: I could go away?
Leave Aberdeen? Head out for a day?
Head down to Edinburgh, catch up with friends?
Ach, time I get there, I'd have to come back again.
I don't have an Easter egg! Is it too late?
Should I even bother when trying to lose weight?
And while I love chocolate, aren't 'eggs a con?
A couple of bites and the damn things are gone!
For value you can't beat a Chocolate Orange
I should nip in to Tesco's and have a quick forage.
They did a minty one, back in December.
Wasn't that great, I seem to remember...
Best stick to Orange, original and best.
I've tried all the others: I wasn't impressed.
In fact - probably best not not buy one at all,
My weight can't go up; I need it to fall!
Yes that's it. I've chosen. I've made my decision.
I'd rather do without than face Gillian's derision:
"We warned you last week not to gorge on these sweets!
I'm not to blame if you can't see your feet!"
Bah! Flippin' Easter! Humbug Jesus Christ!
Damn those confections, reasonably priced!
Curse my poor foresight, my not having plans!
I'm starting to think the whole thing should be banned!
If I can't enjoy it, then no-one else should!
Ach, who am I kidding? I'm just being rude.
I'm stuck here at work, and feeling left out.
My only recourse is to write this and pout.
