Blog Holiday
Saturday, 19. April 2008, 08:17:19
Okay folks, I've decided to give myself a little blogging holiday. Don't worry; I'll still be around to respond to comments and see what y'all are up to on a daily basis, I simply won't be writing any blog posts (unless something completely awesome and umissable happens, like me winning £3.5 million in the EuroLottery
).
I'll pick up again in a week or so, maybe two.
[UPDATE] Didn't win the lottery.
But I did have a rather funky dream about my Dad trying to choose a dog, but bringing home a tiny white ferret called 'Rocko' instead. It adopted me and spent lots of time running across my shoulders and down my arms.
I'll pick up again in a week or so, maybe two.
[UPDATE] Didn't win the lottery.

But as you can see I'll still be around, being my usual charming and witty self.

Only very occassionally do we use it for work. I tend to block anyone who I think might be tempted to use it to bother me, like the boss if he's 'Working From Home' or indeed any other manager-type.

No consideration at all I SHALL PUT AN EVIL CURSE ON YOU!

The thing about beards is:
1) They itch. Horribly.
2) They hide my jawline, which I'm trying to keep track of as I lose weight.
3) They only attract a certain type of girl (beard fetishists, mainly), whereas I'd like to keep the field open as wide as possible...
Yes, Ladies and Gents, Granty is finally starting to possibly begin to think about maybe, in the not to distant future, doing something about the tiresome fact of his single status. The World's Biggest Romantic Coward might even ask someone out...!

I am awfy shocked that my comment has started such a huge debate...gush - blush! Mind who is the flat screen imposter?

Consider the internet community (I speak for them all) horrified by your lack of respect for your heritage. It's like Wacko Jacko bleaching himself to not be black, or...or...Transformers urinating on humans!

How 'bout we meet for a drink and possibly food in Chi on Friday night? Then I can properly diagnose you. (Has to be Chi: that's where the girl I've got my eye on works
By GrantTLC, # 23. April 2008, 11:14:23
Don't worry it's not a permanent state. I could indeed meet you for light refreshment on friday - finish work at 4pm but could we skip the food as think the misses may want to see me friday night, but I shall get back to you regarding that and food may be a possibility.

'Community-Led Blogging' - if no-one has invented this already, I'll happily take the credit!
By GrantTLC, # 24. April 2008, 15:01:04
Now imagine you combined that with text blogging - christ it could be never ending! Text blogging on 'Community-Led Blogging' doesn't exist as far as I am aware but here is how it would work....
.....You could send an text message via your mobile to a number corresponding to a web address, the text data would then be transfered onto the blog like normal comments like this one. Basically you could text blog on the go randomly making comments when ideas sprung to mind. Now how random woudl that be!
If text blogging does exist my apologies but if it doesn't I know own the copywrite! Ok maybe I don't!

Apologies!
I FOUND THIS COOMENTS WHICH I AGREE WITH:
Normally, I would agree that another Ferrari dominated race/season would be tedious. However, to be perfectly honest, anything is preferable to Hamilton winning. I just can't deal with seeing his life story emblazoned across every back page whenever he drives a quick car quicker than a slow car.
In light of Ferrari's pace so far in Barcelona I think Hamilton may have made a mistake throwing away the 2007 F1 crown like he did!

He shares many of the same interests I do, therefore the names he chooses are often as familiar to me as my own. Also, he writes with a very distinctive 'voice'. All this means that in 95% of cases I'm reasonably sure it's him.

But there's a very real difference for me in not blogging every day or so; the pressure to be witty/informative/entertaining/technically competent is gone leaving me free to just be myself. This is what I meant by holiday.
And truthfully? I think I'm growing to like the informal fireside chat format that's replaced the daily grind of my performance art. If I blog, and you guys comment, there's not time to really get into anything because the next day there's another article, another topic. Slowing everything right down like this seems to afford plenty of time to get to know better the people who comment here, and vice-versa.
Maybe it's time to give up the blogging for a bit longer than I anticipated...
By GrantTLC, # 26. April 2008, 11:09:58
A week or two is long enough though! Wouldn't you miss putting things up about funny things that have happened to you, or entertaining all your fans and worshipers with tales of your latest adventures?
