The Green Inferno

Where Music and Fear Gather for Drinks

It's Here in the Coffins! Where else would I hide it.

I posted the Christopher Young score for this a while ago and had a request for the soundtrack, so without further ado, here it is.

I shall be away from my computer all next week, should hopefully be back with more treats next weekend.

This aint no Funeral home! It ain't no Terror Dome neither! Welcome to Hell, motherfuckers!

I Have Detention Slips Here, And I'm Not Afraid to Use Them!

Before Buffy moved to Sunnydale, she looked an awful lot like Kristy Swanson. The 1992 film that eventually spawned the mega-successful tv series was a goofy somewhat endearing movie with a great cast including Donald Sutherland, Paul Ruebens and erm Luke Perry, and glimpse and you'll miss them appearances by Hilary Swank and Ben"Phantoms"Affleck, I'll try to forget Rutger Hauer's rather limp vampire villian though.
Here's the original soundtrack enjoy.
1. Keep It Comin'- Q-Unique & Deborah Cooper
2. Man Smart, Woman Smarter- Dream Warriors
3. Silent City- Matthew Sweet
4. We Close Our Eyes- Susanna Hoffs
5. Little Heaven- Toad The Wet Sprocket
6. I Ain't Gonna Eat Out My Heart Anymore- The diVinyls
7. Party With the Animals- Ozzy Osbourne
8. Zap City- The Cult
9. I Fought the Law- Mary's Danish
10. Light Comes Out of Black- Rob Halford

They Had This Look In Their Eyes, Totally Animal, I Think They Were Young Republicans

If you dance with the devil, the devil don't change. The devil changes you.

Sorry for the delay in posting, thing's have been a little hectic of late, anyway here's Mychael Danna's score for 8MM, Joel Shumacher's flawed but fascinating story of snuff movies and revenge, Nicholas Cage is his usual self but the supporting cast is superb, particularly Joaquin Phoenix and Amy Morton.
The music isn't just the usual thriller score stuff but contains a lot of Eastern themes that work really well in the film.

Devil's Changing You Already

Watch Me When I Kill

Antonio Bido's 1977 giallo starring Corrado Pani and Paola Tedesco features a score by a group called Trans Europa Express, the score is very Goblin like to listen to, not surprising to find that band member Mauro Lusini was the voice of Goblin for their album Volo. Their are no titles to the 26 tracks on this recording.

I told you not to go out tonight didn't I? Every time you go out this kind of thing happens.

A sick twisted journey into the life of Frank Zito (played memorably by the late Joe Spinell), Maniac was directed by Blue Underground's William Lustig and features grisly effects by Tom Savini, who has his own head blown off in one of the films most startling moments, the film also stars the gorgeous Caroline Munro in her first American shot film.
The subtle and eerie score is by Jay Chattaway a regular composer for director Lustig.
Maniac!

Burn in hell for gettin' free, and burn in hell for showin' the way!

Twin Peaks couple Everett McGill and Wendy Robie stayed together as the twisted couple at the centre of Wes Craven's The People Under the Stairs, also starring Brandon Adams and Ving Rhames. Better than a lot of his recent studio films it's a flawed social commentary with some good suspense and game performances from McGill and Robie.
Two composers contributed to the score, Don Peake recieve composer credits and Graeme Revell was credited with Additional Orchestral Music, this score combines suites from both composers.

The People Under the Stairs

You spend one second in that pen, and that bull will have his horn up your ass and sticking out your pecker.

Featuring in Rob Zombie's film The Devil's Rejects, Adam Banjo and Roy Sullivan were on the cusp of stardom thanks to top 100 hits like I'm at Home Getting Hammered (While She's Out Getting Nailed)and She Didn't Like Me (But She Loved My Money), unfortunately any dreams of fame and fortune were cut short when the duo and their entourage ran afoul of Captain Spaulding, Baby and Otis at the Kahiki Palms Motel. In tribute here is Banjo and Sullivan: The Ultimate Collection.

The Iguana With The Tongue of Fire

Riccardo Freda's Dublin set giallo starring Luigi Pistilli and Anton Diffring is not one of the best Italian thrillers but it is memorably violent with several gruesome set pieces and a wonderful score by Stelvio Cipriani and vocals by Nora Orlandi, it's also long overdue a proper DVD release, there was a limited German release but that is very difficult to track down now.
