Tea ceremony 2

Today I had a tea lesson.
When the lesson, if you don't wear a Kimono, you should wear white socks.
So I usually bring white socks with me.
Today , I noticed that I brought wrong pair of socks just before the lesson.
I wresled with the choice between " I should not these unsymmetrical socks. For the solemn atmosphere of the tea ceremony, these socks are really odd." and " I should wear these socks though those are odd because it would be more rude not to wear socks on Tatami."
Then I chose "I wear these odd socks".
I behaved as if these socks are the very vogue. Everyone could not say anything about that in front of my imposing attitude.
Fortunately most of them were elderly people.
So They must have thought "The youth of today is really strange."
But somehow I managed to be polite to them.(I hope so.) Phew.

No seriously, I liked the read about the Tea ceremony, but a lot of things to remember...
